Taco Bell employee here, when getting vegan options just ask for it fresco style it replaces all dairy with tomatoes instead. And also substitute the sour cream to guacamole it makes it way cheaper 😉 Edit: you can also substitute the meat in any of the menu items for black beans, refried beans, or rice free of charge (unless you ask for extra of course).

I never order fresco because the site says it replaces all dairy _and_ guacamole with pico de gallo, despite TBs guac being certified vegan - it's so bizarre. Before learning that I did try to order fresco at my closest location once and they had no idea what I was talking about, lol. *eta * This convo made me curious why they also remove the guac and I did some searching - Turns out "Fresco Style" is for a "lower calorie option". So definitely worth using as long as the item doesn't already come with guac... and if your location knows wth you're talking about, lol, or when the app actually wants to work.

I work for Starbucks and just as you said, ask for a tall in a venti cup and do extra water Im right there with you on the too sweet part. I used to work at TacoBell. Best vegan order by far is a chalupa fresco style ( no sour cream or cheese) with potatoes or fries instead of the beef, add jalapeños! Trust me! It’s a game changer! Also, the black bean Crunchwrap, fresco, add potatoes, with the breakfast salsa! *chefs kiss*

i would love to see you guys do this with more chain restaurants like olive garden. sometimes i get stuck at non vegan restaurants with my family and have to sit and cross reference the allergen menu and regular menu for 30 minutes to find something to eat. once i got stuck going to red lobster and i ended up eating this asian inspired noodle dish they recently added to the menu, just without the meat, and it was pretty good. it actually had some protein too since there was edamame in it

I found their app makes it super easy to customize and save your favorites and then just ssubmit the order to be ready for pickup inside or at windo. Love it... also I went to one taco bell where you could either order at counter or they had a separate machine where you can punch in and customize your order and even pay. You just wait till they call your name with your completed order. I don't know how they can make it more handy!

You can custom order the drinks at Starbucks, just tell them little or no sweetener. I don't know if you have Yogurtland where you live but they have some new plant based frozen yogurt that is fantastic. Also the Magnum frozen non-dairy ice cream bars are awesome.

I used to work at Starbucks. The sandwiches come frozen, and when they thaw out, you can separate the components. I had a lot of vegetarian customers who would order breakfast sandwiches and have me take out the meat patty before heating it in the oven. The ciabatta bread on the Impossible sandwich does have egg in in, so unless you literally just wanted the Impossible patty (and waste your money) none of the breakfast sandwiches can be made vegan friendly. :(

I ate pizza sans cheese for about 20 years before vegan cheez became more common. The trick is to get extra sauce and try to negotiate extra toppings. Cheese is expensive so that usually worked.

You guys are right about the Starbucks sandwich. It comes prepaired, assembled frozen. So even if you asked without egg and cheese, those would just be taken off and thrown out before heating up the sandwich. I work at a Target that has a Starbucks. As far as I know, it's how it's done everywhere.

I love little Caesars, it reminds me of school pizza from elementary school. The crazy bread is a must. If you get the pizza with no cheese, put fries on it with garlic seasoning and vegan ranch dressing.
