You guys should go to Auntie Anne's for pretzels! They have sooo many options and all you have to do is tell them you have a dairy allergy so they remake them without butter and instead use nonstick oil. You see them make it right in front of you so it's legit.

I love what you said about cross contamination! Vegan restaurant or cook at home...because I've heard some people ask restaurant workers to prepare their food separately. I just don't think that's fair to restaurant and fast food employees. They're already working so hard, underpaid, and not treated well by customers without us asking them to literally prepare our food separately 🤦♀️
@kaylawaters26913 жыл бұрын
Honestly I'm fine at most places with a glove change and telling them "no meat, no cheese, dairy allergy." The few places I go to ask me if it's a dairy allergy without me directly saying that so I think restaurants are training employees to be more aware of allergies and cross contamination.

I personally would never go there because of their anti LGBT+ stance. "In June 2012, following a series of public comments opposing same-sex marriage by Dan T. Cathy, Chick-fil-A's chief executive officer, related issues have arisen between the international fast food restaurant and the LGBT community. This followed reports that Chick-fil-A's charitable endeavor, the S. Truett Cathy-operated WinShape Foundation, had donated millions of dollars to organizations seen by LGBT activists as hostile to LGBT rights. Activists called for protests and boycotts, while supporters of the restaurant chain and opponents of same-sex marriage ate there in support of the restaurant. National political figures both for and against the actions spoke out and some business partners severed ties with the chain." --Wikipedia

I worked at sonic from 2008 - 2013, and went vegan in 2012. the entire time I was there the wet batter for onion rings contained egg. it comes powdered and gets mixed with water. They might've changed that in the past 7 years, but the onion rings are a signature item, breaded by hand daily and therefore the most labor intensive thing on the menu, so that'd be super weird. I feel like their allergen guide is incorrect and now I'm going to email their corporate office because i'm ~neurotic~

Of course, I tend to like a vinaigrette on everything - that may not float anyone else's boat This is what I found -There are several vegan salad dressings available at Wendy's, including the Light Spicy Asian Chili Vinaigrette, Pomegranate Vinaigrette Dressing, and the Light Balsamic Vinaigrette.
