After your last video last week, we HAD to go to Keewaydin, and since we were in town at the time, we went on Wednesday! Best day in Florida by far. We didn't want to leave the island, and got some great shells! Thanks for the tip about Hemingway water shuttle, found out they are from our home state of Minnesota!

I’ve watched this twice so far. I loved everything about it!! I love how you explain things so that we learn about shells and their inhabitants. Where I was staying for a week, a couple of weeks ago there was a shell encased on the wall and I went right over and said, This shell is a Lace Murex!! Hi Sharmon, after I watched both of these videos, I dreamt last night that I was walking along the shore of Keewaydin and I was finding so many beautiful shells! I was quite disappointed to awaken and find no pretty shells, just my husband sleeping peacefully by my side. Come to think of it, the treasure I have here in the mountains is just as wonderful as that found in the world of sea and sand and shells. I've lived half my life in one place and half in the other so I guess I am well-balanced, after all! I'm so glad for your finding so many gorgeous cones, well, maybe I'm only a teeny bit green with envy. No worries, a little bleach will take care of that! You are more than generous in taking care to share each lovely shell find and I appreciate each one. My husband has promised me that we will make a trip to visit his brothers in Orlando and we will spend a day at the beach. Now that's something to dream about!

Hi Ilona! Keewaydin was so good to me! I usually want to just get to the island to look for shells, but the dolphin made the wait totally worth it - and the show on the way back was just as fabulous! I had such a great time and we're lucky that Hemingway Shuttle has a great schedule for days you want to be out there for hours. So much easier than kayaking to an island for sure! Awesome shelling trip. Reminds me of the way it used to be on Sanibel on our first trip there about 20 years ago. I agree that wading in knee deep water at low tide gives you the best chance at finding bigger and better shells.

"My name is Sharmon and I'm a FFC hoarder."😂 OMG an albino nutmeg! I've never seen one. The water was a beautiful shade that day. And that is a very awesome AC! Laughed out loud at the "hot second"!
