Linda Covan. E22 looked great. Their best chance for survival is to leave when all the other eagles are on the move. Better chance to find leftover food, to steal, and to locate good foraging/fishing spots. The E's are both tough as nails and I believe they will do fantastic. 💜

Rob P. YW 🙂. Even with a weight pack on the tripod, there was so much vibration 😬. The E's are in the time window for normal dispersal, and it's a good time for them if they head out. Lots of eagles are on the move here, so their chances for survival are better. They can find leftovers, steal, and locate good foraging/fishing spots more easily. I believe these two are well prepared, and will do fantastic!

Denny Spero. Yes, it is. Most juvies I watch here disperse between 4-6 weeks post fledge, which is the window the E’s are in now. E21 fledged on 3-30, E22 fledged on 4-1. They are well prepared for their travels. They have shown us they can defend against an adult and protect their food. Both have carried food to a better spot to eat. They are two amazing juvies! 🦅🦅

Diana Hendricks. There is a dense population of eagles here. Every season we have seen them, more easily seen from ground view than cam view. It seems like more this season because M15 cannot keep the territory secure by himself; it takes a pair. In addition, we are seeing the same female continuously stealing. It has been different females at different times, but this one has been here the longest. Also, this time of the season, eagles are on the move, as many will migrate out for the summer months. We usually see the most eagles at season start, and end of season.

E22 is def fighting the winds so it makes sense that E21 and/or M15 are still AWOL. I don’t know why, but I have a different feeling about the final fledgings this time. E22 has become so protective over the nest that l wonder if he will stay with it. I suppose time will tell 🤷‍♀️♥️🦅🦅🦅

P B. E22 was playing and hovering, enjoying the day. The E's are both well prepared for their travels, and E22 will likely disperse any day. Their best chance for survival is to be out there with all the other eagles on the move here. They can find leftover food, steal food, and see where the best places to forage for food are. Enjoy the time we have left with them. We are blessed to have watched them mature into such strong juvies! 🦅💜🦅

I love watching him wind gliding. He's just adorable and so quirky. I am not a fan of the plastic everywhere 22 finds and seems to want to play with though. People should be more careful. He's had a plastic bottle, a plastic cup and now a plastic bag.

@@androcat12 I agree, I doubt it's from the pasture or Jinny's family. There's a shopping plaza across the street. That's where it comes from. Plastic and plastic bags in particular are very bad for not only Land & Air animals but Sea Life as well. Anyway, hopefully E22 stays clear of dangerous items like that. He's curious and seems to find such items with ease. I do love how he plays with things though, it's really cute when he's pouncing and practicing skills to murder those items he finds.

P B. E21 was out of cam view for almost five days after fledge. I don't think E21 left. More likely, E21 was in the territory being fed by M15. They are not prepared to disperse at fledge, and it can take them days to make it back to the nest tree.

Johnathan Zablosky. YW 🙂. No, there are no search efforts to find E21, who has likely dispersed. There is no reason to thing anything happened to E21. On 4-29 at 1319, E21 left the nest tree and went soaring. That is what they do, go soaring one day and just keep going. 💜

A major storm hit fort myers (not a hurricane or tornado) and knocked out either the cams or the power, hopefully just the power. E22 and M15 appear to be ok but no sign of E21. If dad came back already he must not be worried about 21 which means he must have fed him/her. That’s about all we know now. Have a good day Natasha 😀
