Serap Mehmet. YW 🙂. I do think there is a chance an eagle that hatched at this nest stopped by the territory or nest tree over the years. The reality is a lot stop by, and obviously not every single one of them could have hatched here. It’s hard to imagine how many juvies and subadults are around, if you don’t live here to see it for yourself. As for comments, it had to be a YT glitch. Another friend said she could not post on one of my videos at all, and I have been told that chat has been clearing out for some people on various channels. I am sorry you have had issues, and I hope YT gets it straight. 🙏🏻💙

Another beautiful visitor. Thank you for stopping by and moving along when M15 gave you warnings. M15 the old pro knew exactly what to do 😊

Androcat, this is a superb video and narrative of the sub adult. M did everything perfectly. The youngster clearly meant no harm or threat, no vocals from it and it was clearly interested in seeing M, for whatever reason. Lady F quickly arrived at the nest and the youngster went on his or her merry way, after a stern telling off from M and F. The only slightly strange thing was that the juvie actually followed F, again no threat, before flying away. To me it was like it was getting a better look of her. Anyway, all ended without too much drama.

@wallygator. I appreciate your kind words 😊. I think the youngster was just doing a quick look to see if there was any food in the nest. M’s warnings worked, thankfully. That was a quick in and out!

This is a beautifull vety comfident youngster. M15 is a bit stressed for not wanting to leave his eggies 😮😊. A good choice.

@DianeStiner. Yes, very smart to stay put. Leaving them could be disastrous. 🙏🏻

Notes from my video description: Although the 360 Cam does not provide as good of a view as Cams 1&2, I will give my opinion on the age of this eagle based on what we have. The beak and cere appear to be less dark than a juvenile bird; the eyes (iris) appear to have started the transformation to yellow (harder to see this on the 360 Cam); the tail feathers have started a terminal band, there are white feathers starting on the top of the head, and there is more mottling ventrally (white feathers in front) than is typical of a juvenile bird . I believe this is a bird that is turning two this season, depending on what month it hatched. I included three links for plumage/aging eagles below the time stamps. Time stamps below, if interested. Click on any time stamp to advance to that part. Note: There is no way to determine if the intruder is from this nest. I am local to SWFL, and in Florida, we have 1500+ nests. That averages to 2K +/- fledglings each season, as I have shared often on these videos. Also, this area has a dense population. Each season, we see juvenile and subadult eagles stop in here. The "mantle" is the area of feathers on the upper middle of the back that form a “V” shape below the neck feathers (the nape) on the back of the head.

So at this age, this one could be one of Es M15 raised by himself

@lwilliamsmasters1990. Yes, in my opinion, this is an eagle that is getting ready to turn 2. E21/E22 will be turning two. It possible, not probable. I truly wish we could know. 💙

@@androcat12 that white on that left shoulder is the same as E22 had in the same spot and similar to the white feathers M15 has, "his epaulettes" wish I could post pics here. E21 did not have those white feathers. E23 had them, F23 does not

@lwilliamsmasters1990. I can see what you are referring to. It’s still not enough to ID a bird. For positive ID, on cams, the iris is what is used most often for ID. The feather patterns can be used as markers, but they can change each season, so have to be redone as markers. Feather patterns need multiple markers to be used, in most cases. For instance, the dark spots in F23’s tail feathers is a marker. They can change with molt. Hope that makes sense. 💙

@@androcat12 I do understand that and thank you🥰 but I think this is E22. E21 was a much darker eagle, almost black looking with no epaulettes...LOL in my humble opinion🤣

@suzieo2618. E21 or E22 is back, seeking to steal F23's food and roost in her nest tree. 😉😂

@@androcat12 you think this is E21 or E22? Really? Interesting. I've been following and I thought you said previously that it was not probable? Maybe I missed something ? I try to share your knowledge, but it seems I'm confused ? I don't think I'll share further, until I can appreciate and understand what you're saying ❤🦅🙏

@@16MedicRN. I added a a winky face and laughing face in my response to suzie, as I was kidding. We were all a bit stressed in Season 11, watching M15 work so hard to protect and provide for the E’s after Harriet went missing, only to see intruders chasing him and stealing the food. Therefore, I was kidding with that comment. The wink and laughing face implied that. If you scroll up to my pinned comment, and the responses to the commenter, you will see my position is as it always has been. Hope that helps.

@lwilliamsmasters1990. It is possible, just not probable. I added some info on statistics. I always do the math anyway, wondering "IF" this subadult hatched here, which one could it be. We all want to think it is, but there is no way to know. 💙
