Oh wow that was close. I had to laugh when M15 kept moving away from her after she nipped him on his wing & then he flew over the cuckoo at the nest. She still didn't get the hint. Poor M just trying to get some well deserved rest. Glad she finally left. She probably didn't want an owl hit lol. She seems to leave quite a bit after a while on the branch. Glad the E's weren't having any of this. I was watching this from cam 3 last night didn't realize cam 1 had captured all the excitement up close. Thanx LH. And thanx to the cam operators too

Great video, i think R23 is a young adult female (possibly her first season) and wants a family of her own. She clearly wants M15 and maybe in time when the Es have fledged and leave to go to pastures new he will accept her. Until then his main priority is the Es, feeding, protecting and teaching so they can survive in the big blue skies when it's time. R23 will get her way if she is patient enough and let's M15 finish his fatherly duties in respect of Harriet ❤

A month go was heartbreaking 💔😢 to see M15 desperately waiting for precious Harriet, been so vocal calling her to the point of literally losing his voice completely for a few days 😱😭💔 that was very sad and disturbing to watch. Everything seems to be falling into place while nature take its course! As Lady Hawk has said M15 is not interested in the female. He takes his responsibility to the Es seriously so not to read romantic ideas into the situation. He fights off her advances plus let's her get away with stealing food meant for the Es only because he can't afford to get hurt and unable to take care of them.

I think that M15 wants no part of her love and is just letting her roost only for the nights on the same branch as he is. I have just learned yesterday from an article where Eagles brains and hormones are exactly just like humans are and they do feel emotions and loss too. I feel (my option only) that he is realizing that he made a mistake in wanting to mate with her and is not ready for another female. Yes, it’s sad for her but, M15 needs to move on alone for a bit and then be ready for next season all refreshed and I believe if Harriett is out there somewhere that they will hook up once again and more babies next season. There is no proof still that she is gone completely so, if there is no proof then she is still somewhere and there needed to be more places to look at. @@eileenjones3918 Good morning @Eileen Jones. Yep! Sure do know the story of that unfortunate fiasco about the fight or two fights between M and Ozzie. It’s very unfortunate that had happened too. However, Harriett must have definitely seen something very special in M15 to take him and help/train him to do what needs to be done and he made Harriet quite proud from day 1 up to today.🥰🦅🦅❤️👍🏻 So, I feel that M has had enough of her and is in his own way trying to ignore her and not give in to her and hope that she leaves. OMG! E22 instinctively understands that if Dad mates now, he may stop providing for his existing offspring. He squees like crazy!!!!! However, what is truly amazing, is that Dad does not want to risk his existing family before they leave the natal area for ever... I am absolutely thrilled to have witnessed that!

@@Luxsword29 Yes, but H and M15 were their biological parents. R23-3 is not E21 and E22's Mom, so if M15 mates with her before fledging, that will disrupt the natural rhythm of the existing family unit. R23-3 needs to wait under the Es leave the natal area forever before mating.
