Depending on the type of CNC machine you have, you can use HDPE, Delrin, Aluminum or tooling board, like Renshape.

What size vacuum pump is that? I’d like to do two at a time and want make sure I get the right equipment right off the bat.

I'd get at least an 8cfm two-stage pump then. This is a Robinair 15800.

Is that a silencer on the exhaust for your robinair?

It's an oil mist filter from Minnesota Vac. Had to have them make up a custom adaptor for it, but it's been well worth it. Almost totally eliminates the oily mist that the pump usually puts out.
