I don’t mean to butt in on a friend to friend comment section but I can’t help myself. Both of y’all are my bbq heroes and I thank you for helping me learn how to cook. I was raised in Starkville but I moved to Texas as a young man with a family. That’s where my bbq journey started, however I tend to meld the Texas style with the Memphis style leaning heavily toward the Texas style. I have ruined more meat than you can shake a stick at and that’s where you fellas come in. Mark I found you by way of the How To BBQ Right channel. I sincerely thank both of y’all for the instruction and inspiration that you have given me. Not just that but the confidence to just do it. I’m going to make that Malcom’s Shop Pilgrimage one day and I hope to meet both of you. I moved to South Carolina this last year so y’all be praying for me not to be overwhelmed with the humpteen bbq styles over here. Thank you for dealing with my long winded comment.

I think as far as true old school rib recipes, the ones you grow up eating from your dad, or whoever the family pitmaster is, this is hands down the best recipe on KZbin. My dad taught me the old sausage seasoning trick when I first began cooking. This right here is textbook BBQ ribs.

do you ever have problems with your pellet smoker holding temp when its cold outside?
@SwineLifeBBQ5 жыл бұрын
Not at all. We have ran it up to 500 degrees with below freezing temps and it runs like a dream. The quality of pellet makes a huge difference as well.

I always have trouble with beef ribs membrane pork is alot easier. Any tips?
@SwineLifeBBQ5 жыл бұрын
Beef ribs definitely have a tougher membrane. The best thing I have found is just using paper towels. Also when the ribs aren't as cold it seems to pull a little easier. Hope that helps.
