Since our current house in Kochi / Ernakulam is close to parts of the waterways here in the area it is only clear that we want to ride the famous new water Metro system that goes through parts of the backwaters of Kerala. So let's all go and have a little ride on it and see what it is like. I can tell you it is amazingly modern and I have not seen anything like it before.

My foreign friends in the West don't believe me when I say that metros in India are modern and developed. They think people travel on rooftops in metros in India. I saw your video taking the Chennai metro and now, this water metro in Kochi. I will show them your videos.

Many Europeans still mock me as supposedly a naive Indian Nationalist believer [I was brought up in the UK] when I point out facts such as that in 1790, English experts declared Indian Wootz steel the best steel in the world and Sheffield copied its techniques, that India was famed for its wealth prior to British occupation, or that conceptual philosophy originated in India, or that heliocentric models were commonplace in Indian astronomy for over a thousand years before Copernicus, or that most of what the Renaissance West called Modern Maths (Modern Arithmetic, Modern Algebra and Analysis, Trigonometry, and even Infinitesimal Calculus) were of Indian origin [with Kerala playing a key role]. 18th Century British and French in India noted that India produced musket and cannon as good as the best in Europe. The oldest seaworthy ship in the Royal Navy HMS Trincomalee - was built in 1817 by an Indian company in Bombay - but of course the British soon afterwards suppressed shipbuilding in India as they had done with the cheaper and superior Indian cotton textiles - as H.H. Wilson and Friedrich List wrote - even steam power could not have saved Manchester, Paisley etc. if Indian competition had not been eliminated. The British led by James Mill (Father of John Stewart Mill) - who never once visited India - concocted a supposed History of India claiming that India never produced anything good, any worthwhile thing in India came from White invaders and that Hinduism was supposedly the source of Indians social evils, poverty and famine. This was to cover up the Crimes Against Humanity of Mill's colleagues in the East India Co. in which Mill rose to Second-in-Command. Robert Clive returned from Bengal with his 'loot' (Hindi for plunder) as the richest nonmonarch in Europe and his EIC mafia became the new super rich elite known as nobs (from nawabs/nabobs). Meanwhile up to 1/3 of Bengal Province (inc. modern Bihar and Orissa) or 10 million people died in the Great Bengal Famine of 1770. William M. Thackeray's relative Richard Becher had predicted the Ruin of Bengal [the richest province in the world's largest and richest economy, Mughal India] in 1769 due to British rapacity and the loss of Indian loot led to the 1772 Credit Crunch in Europe whose development, as with the Industrial Revolution in Britain was financed by colonial plunder, when many banks collapsed. The 1770 famine was just the first of some 3 dozen such British-inflicted famines killing tens of millions as Indian foodgrains were exported for British Food Security and Profit and the British even set up Buchenwald-like Death Camps in 1877 for victims of the South Indian Famine whilst record amounts of Indian foodgrains were exported. The Guardian recently posted a video about the epigenetic legacy of diabetes in all South Asian countries due to forced starvation of the poorest under British Rule. A 2017 study published by Columbia UP estimated that the British stole c. US$45 Trillion between 1757 and 1938 from India with their draining of India's trade profits, captive market, deindustrialization of India etc.

The road way from vyttilla to kakkanad actually takes over 40 minutes on buses or other public transportation because of traffic and stuff yk and the water metro only takes like 20 minutes and beautiful scenery of backwaters it's amazing, but it will be fully operational on only 2035 or 2030 but when it will become fully operational it will be the world largest centrelised urban water transport And there is currently a new metro rail line connecting the current J.L.N stadium metro station to kakkanad too. Apparently it's kept below the seats and not being allowed outside on deck is probably to avoid risk of people going there without wearing them. You'll be safe enough to get the jackets and wear them in case of danger if you are inside not so if you are outside on the deck
