Comparing the TX films, THICC, and Deskeys films only have subtle sound differences and it was hard for me to tell most of the time which is which. Easier for me to tell which is kebo sometimes but not all the time. Its awesome that you did a blind test. A lot of the sound tests I heard that didn't have a blind test so I was trapped into bias and confirmation. Thank you for this

It would be awesome to see functionality expanded in the future to include a searchable archive of sound tests with information like switches, boards, keycaps, modifications, lubes, and films. Thanks for the suggestion! it's tricky making useful sound test on YT videos, I think a much better model is something like kbcompare.com, where you can rapidly go back and forth between the different options at your own pace. Great video. And the kbcompare is a fantastic concept; Testing and comparing without knowing what you're hearing is a great way to know what you really like without biases. I could constantly tell which one was my favorite, and my goto film from now on will be the Deskeys film. I still have some TXfilms left, but every time I tested it was the worst sounding one for me. Well, it is still way better than nothing(especially on JWK switches).

Thanks a lot for your website tool. Being new to the mech hobby, I had no idea what films were up to. Now I have my own, unbiased opinion. this is a great video - I have to say though that I can barely tell the difference between the 4 different films, even with the blind comparison. @siegekeebs4 жыл бұрын
When doing these kinds of comparisons it would be really helpful if you did not use your modifiers and spacebar since the stabilizers overwhelm the sound of the switches that we are trying to hear and its distracting from the purpose of your demonstration.

I didn't really notice a significant feel difference between the four, but it would make sense that thicc and TX would be the "stiffest" while Kebo and Deskeys have more wiggle room (kebo because it's thin, and deskeys because it's very flexible). I think you'd like Deskeys
