If you have already invested in a set of GogglesX, the Moonlight VTX is still a very strong competitor in my opinion, and remember that Caddx/Walksnail will likely be releasing a new generation of their products to compete with the DJI O4 anyway, so don't sell your goggles yet!

Nice review. The video footage, editing, and information content are high-quality. You have a very good voice. The drone seems to be a little overpriced. I am getting ready to put a moonlight kit on a Pavo 20 for a whole lot less money. I don’t know if the flight characteristics would be equivalent.

Honestly.... I think you are right that this quad is ripe for a price cut. As soon as the DJI O3 Air Units dropped in price, I started wondering when (not "if") Caddx will do the same. The argument for a Walksnail BNF is less convincing when DJI O3 BNF's are the same price or cheaper... and that Pavo 20 build sounds awesome! Are you going with the Pavo20 or the Pavo20 Pro frame?

What's the sound level of that thing? Is it nerve wrecking loud or is it "silent"? (Animal watching/don't shy them away from a 100m).

@Vorname_Nachnahme This quad is significantly quieter than larger, heavier drones, but that said, no fpv drone is silent, it does make some noise, but think mosquito, not vacuum cleaner...

I haven't tried a li-ion pack on this quad because I think it would be too heavy, 650mah 4s Lipo is the perfect battery for this little guy, and pretty lightweight. The only 4s li-ion pack I have is probably 3x or 4x the weight, so probably wouldn't pair too well with 2" props...

@colibrifpv are those 18650s? I haven’t seen anyone in this hobby use them - maybe there is some reason - but 18350s are still 1500 mah but almost half the length. Might be perfect for this size category of quads

No not yet, but it is being openly discussed by politicians and it is a real possibility. That said, people freak out and blow it out of proportion, IF there were a ban, existing gear wouldn't be affected, but certification of future products might be...

I've seen a bunch of FPV drone videos lately, and a lot of them were recommending Google products over DJI or Fatshark, like those Walksnail goggles. Thanks for the info, man! I'm totally new to this whole FPV drone thing and still trying to figure it all out

@@a.christydjoko7773 No problem, there is a HUGE learning curve when you're new to the hobby, but it all makes sense after a while. My advice is to join a Facebook group like Beginner to FPV and ask some questions, most pilots are super helpful, and don't be hasty to buy expensive gear until you actually need it. Start with an ELRS radio and download a simulator. After you learn to fly, move on to a tinywhoop or a small digital like this GoFilm 20 or the BetaFPV Pavo20. Good luck!

I don't have a GPS on this little drone so I can't sat for sure bit it has to be somewhere around 50-60mph, this isn't really a freestyle or racing drone but you can see in some of this footage that it does really rip!

Yes, you can install a Walksnail VTX in this quad. The included carbon mount has 20x20 mounting holes and BetaFPV has prints available for certain VTX's.

How's the goggles L compare to the goggles X?

The Goggles L are Box goggles, so a very different design. Some people actually prefer the box goggles because they can be more comfortable, especially if you wear glasses, and they have the head tracking feature built in if that's important to you. If you are new to FPV you might go with the Goggles L to get started because that initial investment is a lot, but if you are ready to make a commitment I think the experience with the Goggles X is more immersive. I do have a pair of the "X" and have a pair of the "L" on the way and I will have a video comparing them 👍

@@voltvolt-t6g They do but not built in natively like in the Goggles L, it's through an external adapter, it's a little box that you have to stick on top of the Goggles. If you need head-tracking, there ya go, but it's not a very elegant solution, considering the Goggles X are placed as premium goggles...

@@mortonbeard2240 No problem, the numbers refer to the motor size, motor sizes are expressed in stator width+height, so 13 means 13mm wide, and 03 means 3 mm tall. The KV refers to how many revolutions per volt of battery power, a higher number usually means more power, but it depends on the voltage of the battery 👍 Here is some more info on that: oscarliang.com/motors/#Motor-Size-Explained

Autel makes some great drones, I had the original X-Star Premium many years ago and I really enjoyed not being locked down or "geofenced". I think it should be up to the pilot to be responsible and follow the rules. Imagine buying a car that locks the speed at 60mph or whatever the speed limit is... no one would accept those limitations!

@colibrifpv oh that will be the future. Or a liquir bottle will lock up after 1 drink for the next 12h🤣 the future will be one of maaaaany rules China is the perfect example😔 But so, i look for an fpv drone that is NOT dji and is rtf. But only toy drones exist with that.
