What do you think is better? The BetaFpv Pavo 20 Pro (~105 usd) or the Caddx GoFilm 20? (~210 usd) (with both using the WS Moonlight vtx)
@colibrifpv2 күн бұрын
They are both solid little cinequads that will serve you well, but if you are going with the walksnail VTX, I think you should go with the GoFilm20 because that quads was designed specifically for that VTX, so it comes perfectly tuned balanced, and the GoFilm is a heavier, more powerful quad, with larger motors, 4s batteries etc. If you already one the 3s batteries, or if you just want something lighter weight, go with the PAvo20Pro. I am making a review of that quad which should be ready very soon...

Will this work with my DJI goggles 3 and RC3? Thanks guys
@colibrifpv5 күн бұрын
Hey Ryan, yes the DJI O3 system absolutely will work with both, but there are a few caveats. First, you might have better range with an ELRS radio, so don't fly too crazy far. Second, there is currently a bug where the Goggles 3 disconnect.... that's a BIG deal, but it should be corrected through a firmware update very soon. If you're new to FPV, just use your existing DJI radio, and if you get pretty serious about it, you'll want to buy an ELRS radio in the future, like a Radio Master Boxer...
@RyanFPV15 күн бұрын
@@colibrifpv mate you absolute legend, thanks for getting back to me. Answered everything and more. I’ve actually been looking at the boxer, looks mean! Hopefully that bug gets fixed soon, sounds horrendous! I’ll be ordering either this Nazgul or geprc mark 5 this week, thanks so much man!

@@RyanFPV1 You're welcome, always happy to talk drones! Either of those are solid, the MK5 will cost you a bit more but has better electronics, but either way I recommend going ELRS and spending a few extra bucks for a GPS module and set up GPS rescue in Betaflight, it could save your investment!

@colibrifpv5 күн бұрын
Hey there! If your drone is beeping at that voltage it's probably another alarm that's doing it. Do you actually see the flashing "low battery" warning in your OSD? If not, maybe check which things trigger the buzzer/alram in the config tab? I have mine set to low voltage at 3.0 and min voltage at 2.8 because I fly li-ion packs along with my lipo packs. If you do that, just remember to land or be home at 3.5v when flying lipos! Good luck!

Great review about this drone!! 👏🏼👏🏼 Question brother, currently I have an avata 2, but I was planning to enter in something more freestyle and I was searching about this drone. Do you think that is a good one to move to? And I saw that the dji googles 3 already works with the O3 unit. Would be a good thing to buy this drone and use with my googles 3 and the dji remote controller 3? Thanks for the review 👏🏼🚀
@colibrifpv7 күн бұрын
Hey Jairo, thanks a lot for watching! This is an awesome multipurpose 5" drone that can do just about anything, but I wouldn't recommend using either the DJI remote 3 or the goggles 3 with the O3 Air Unit... Both of those devices have had issues disconnecting. An ELRS radio will serve you much better, more reliable and with better range, and something like a Radio Master pocket or Boxer are great and not too expensive. As for the Goggles 3, there is a documented issue with them losing connection to the O3 air unit. I assume that will be fixed in a firmware update, but as of right now, don't use goggles 3 with the O3 Air Unit. Sorry it's not the answer you wanted to hear 😬

I know this may be a dumb question, but how do you mount a GPS module? Do i just use double sided servo tape and a zip tie? is there a special module this is made for? Thanks!
@colibrifpv9 күн бұрын
Hi Lawrence, it's not a dumb question at all. Most frames include a TPU mount but this one has those carbon plates. Just as you said, the best way will be with double-sided tape and a zip tie. This design has the advantage of being able to accommodate just about any brand/shape/size GPS unit because standard TPU mounts are usually made for a septic model or size GPS unit. So grab any GPS unit you want! I recommend the GEPRCM10, but any M10 GPS unit will work great, and will come with a wiring diagram showing you how to wire it up to your FC. Good luck with it!

That's what I was thinking, for my style of flying 6" is a perfect match since I mostly do medium-range mountain cruising with a GoPro to get scenery shots. A 5" I store maneuverable but the 6" is more efficient.
@DanteKeith9 күн бұрын
You should put it in on that lumineer frame. I purchase this exact flight stack (AM32) after watching Jev. I built my 5’in two weeks ago and it feels/flys amazing. Put mine in the Era 5 I haven’t tried 8S but 6s is more than enough for my use case. Nice video on the stack. It’s a solid FC and ESC if you ask me.
@colibrifpv9 күн бұрын
That's great to know, thanks a lot for your feedback! I do think this stack would have paired very nicely with that JohnnyFPV frame, but since that one is already built up with an Argus Pro stack I'm thinking about putting this one in my Flyfish Volador D6 frame for a cinematic medium range cruiser that will run heavy batteries and a GoPro. This is an awesome stack that has way more power than I would ever need. Time will tell how durable it is!

@colibrifpv13 күн бұрын
Hi Jack, I'm using 5x4x3 props and when I fly in the mountains sometimes I use HQ 5x4.8x3. I like higher pitch props because I fly at altitude, I live in the Andes at fly at 10,000-12,000 ft, and I'm usually just cruising trying to get scenery shots where I want a high cruise speed to go the distance and I don't care as much about maneuverability. Lower pitch props are probably better for ripping around aggressively, freestyle, etc. I recommend HQ props if you're not sure, they have been super durable for me...

It’s a pretty nice Build, but i prefer my deadcat geprc Mark 5 over this one. You mentioned the problem with spare parts from geprc, and my solution to the problem is, that I ordered some replacement arms back then, when I bought the Mark5. This works well for me and so far I didn’t manage to break an arm, so it’s pretty much unbreakable in my experience. BTW the location where you tested the quad is beautiful.
@colibrifpv17 күн бұрын
Thanks a lot for your feedback, I really appreciate it! I live in Ecuador and I fly high up in the Andes whenever I get the chance. I agree that the GEPRC Mark5 is a very solid choice, and the frame kit is hard to beat since even the "pro" version comes in quite a bit cheaper (~$30) and it has that nice camera mounting system as well as a very generous hardware bag... I had a pile of screws and misc. hardware leftover after building mine. Next time I'll do what you did and just order up some replacement arms when I buy the frame!

Do you have the Argus "Pro" with the heatsinks? It will still fit but it might be a little tight since those heatsinks make that stack taller. I would recommend either this "Eco" stack bit.ly/ArgusEco or this one, without the heatsinks bit.ly/ArgusProPlugs If you already bought the one with the heatsinks don't stress about it too much, you can make it fit, it will just be tight, and it is a higher end stack anyway.
