Switching to iPhone...Why did I bother....

In this video, I review the iPhone 15 Pro Max's camera, sharing my experience as a long-time Android user switching to iOS. While I was impressed with the selfie camera, battery life, and fast Face ID unlock, the overall experience left much to be desired. With only three positives and too many negatives, I couldn’t justify sticking with the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
I'll also dive into my struggles with iOS, from the lack of customizability to limited multitasking features. Plus, I'll highlight key limitations of the iPhone compared to Android devices, including file management, expandable storage, app sideloading, and more. Android phones not only offer more flexibility but also provide unique innovations like foldable designs and partnerships with brands like Zeiss and Leica for advanced photography features. Unfortunately, the iPhone 15 Pro Max felt basic and uninspired in comparison.

Trying an iPhone didn't last long for me either. My Android phone to me is more than just a phone, it's my multi-account workplace extension, an on the go documents workstation, an external drive, a daily scheduler, playback device and a file manager. I can simply have just one without any ecosystem. My Android phone helps me live a normal life. iPhones on the other hand, are just good phones, end of story. By itself it's never enough, you need this, that and all the other things in the ecosystem. Rather than conveniencing normal life, it restricts more, hinders progress and limits productivity.

I know what do you mean. I had 15 plus for few days, but its was not for me. Still using Xiaomi 11T pro and don't want IOS. I know it is good, Apple has many fans and I understand this. But for me, for every day use android is far better. Apple fall behind. Charging is poor, devices are boring and expensive. Many midrange smartphones are better than this 15 pro max and regular 15. Yes, slower chipsets, maby worse camera, but over all better for me. Cheers.

That's what I told. But for me better, i mean for my usage. Not as better devices, better usage. Os and comfortable use. I think even iPhone 15 is super device, but if you don't like IOS, you can have pro max or pro and it is hard to use. If you like IOS you won't understand

i think the iphone still has the best video stabilization. but in terms of overall specs there are many phones that are more ahead .. a big factor for me is the fast charging 😅

2 years ago I decided to go back to using an iphone ¹3 pro max and yes it is boring even with ios 18 but reliable in many ways especially the battery life and optimization. Apple is apple though, here in the Philippines people go crazy about it even when in reality it is a boring phone.

Apple and Samsung are living on their brands. When people don't know much about a product they choose a brand they recognize. Product development has virtually stopped there. Brands like Xiaomi, Honor, Oneplus.... are pushing these brands in some way, but they're still behind. Especially if you take price in consideration

As a person with ADHD, switching to iPhone was best. I had so many choices and I was switching phones regullary cause non of them was perfect. Every time something showed up that drove me crazy. I primary switched becausae of Apple Watch, but I love I do not have that much choices. Maybe like 0 😅 Cause iOS is really the same on every supported devices.

@Patrikch100 u may miss ir blaster , better photography, faster charging, longer battery life if u used 2023 2024 Chinese flagships, and simple stuff of the os aside customisation like number row on the keyboard, clipboard history, universal back gesture, more organized notifications panel, phone dialer that recommends contacts as u type a number, ldac support if u use sony sound devices, and simple stuff like accessing adaptive brightness option to turn it on and off from the control panel not having to go In settings app every time and same story for Hotspot for example u can't long press the Hotspot icon and get in Hotspot settings u have to go in the settings app yourself and same for the camera app.. there aren't much customisation even my dad uses that stuff and he's 60 years old. Like.. the way u can control media volume ringtone volume notifications volume system volume is so much better because on iPhone u don't get that feature and notifications be blasting sound when u watch a video or a video sounds too loud after a phone call in wich u had volume at 100%.. if u live out of the u.s most people use androids like.. 70% of the world uses androids and u can't share files with them because iPhones don't have quick share. I mean.. u miss out on basic stuff. The antireflective display on my s24u is so lovely too it's something I notice every day. Or even the way the task bar on android wich shows u the 3 recent app that u got notifications from so u don't forget to reply to something important. List goes on forever lol I just keep remembering stuff.

I personally can't get used to the slow animations in iOS. On Android you can change the animationscale. Setting that to twice the speed is the first thing I do on any phone.

When you are so familiar on any android and almost used android you get bored on iphone, tried it for 6 months then boom sold it😅 it was an ip 13 pro max the only thing i like its video capability is top notched and boomy speakers nothing more😅

I wanted to go back to apple but it was very frustrating. I couldn't even get started on an account. I forgot my apple id and unfortunately, i already lost my trusted device as it was years since i switched. I couldn't verify my account so i wanted to create a new on but accidentally already linked my email to my old account so i literally cant access my new apple ID either. Mind you, this would never happen with samsung or any android account creation. This isn't even the first time ive been frustjust by simply creating an apple id. I cant even express well hkw that ordeal truly frustrated me as it was supposed to be a simple step

@@DariuszTech I kind of like iOS , although android is much nicer to use , especially Google pixels . I find iOS a bit fiddly to navigate IE something as simple as activating auto display brightness is a complex chore . I find it’s weird that this function isn’t located in display settings and why would it be in accessibility 😂

You can't even pause/resume video recording On iPhone. You've got to start a new clip every time you want to pause. Nice view by the way. What town is that?

Well, but I think 8k is a useless option. Would be larger in size and more difficult to transfer on social media. Also that most screens do not even support it. 4K is enough.

1080p is the best option for social media. To do with compression and all that on the social media platforms. Social media even struggles with 4k. 4k and 8k is great for saving family videos etc to be viewed on the big screen

Stabilisation on screen is always bad. It shows it without EIS on the viewfinder but stabilises ne eftheless. As for charging and some other issues. The iPhone 16 Pro is suppose to fix it. Still find those drvices boring as well and quality for photos and videos is ok bjt not groundbraking like people always tell me.

The iPhone has a good camera. The phone looks nice but i don't like IOS. I love Android and a great camera and a descent battery life! So i'm very happy with my Google Pixel 7 pro for now! Thinking to switch over to the 9 pro (xl) when the prices drops. Thanks for the great review!

It's a pity because most of the younger generation, the under 25s especially from what I've seen won't touch android because ios supposedly works better with social media platforms. I'm android all the way. Prefer the freedom although I'm some seeing android platforms are placing restrictions like xiaomi with 3rd party launchers and others now blocking gcam. Sure the big players will soon go the way of Apple regarding only using their own ecosystem.

Depends on your country. In the UK Samsung and Apple are the most popular top selling devices . Google Pixel is slowly catching up. Samsung caters for a wider range of customers due to their vast array of devices to suit all budgets . I've never once seen an Honor or Xiaomi in the wild 😁 Sony used to be popular, especially their cheaper devices

I love apple phones , I'm rocking a 13 series phone ( plus an android, I'm not a brand fan boy) Apple lacks innovation, although they're excellent devices, but I don't think the 16 will bring much to the table . My friend owns the 12 pro max , he's very tech savvy, but doesn't plan to upgrade just yet until his device packs in or Apple comes up with something new
