Pix just makes ya smile. In terms of that boom box Ola, I'm only 40 years old, I grew up having a RCA boom box, then I got a 100 watt koss stereo system, in high school I upgraded to a Philips 250 watt HiFi Stereo System, and I haven't turned my back since then. I currently have a LG 230 watt HiFi Stereo Shelf System, and an old-school Pioneer 500 watt HiFi Stereo System from the early 90's with Cerwin Vega three way speakers hooked up to it, I bought the whole system at a garage sale, and it's kinda perfect from the low-end to the high-end. I don't think I could ever go back to a small boom box, but the one you bought is pretty damn cool man. Awesome SWOLA. Take care Ola. Keep Kicking Ass!

Using backing tracks to produce/reproduce sounds that you just cannot make live on stage is one thing. Getting up there and faking it is a completely different thing.
@ofdarknesandlight3 күн бұрын
Love your content Ola, but I have to disagree with the concept of elevating the experience regarding backingtracks. Keyboards/ Synths are also an instrument that is performed live. Lately many bands are replacing keyboard players with backingtracks to save costs and space and this has somehow been normalized with metal acts. Many bands use keyboards parts that play the main melodies, interludes and even solos on backingtracks while guitars and bass are playing the rhythm section. that is just wrong. It is understandable for the bands that use keyboard tracks that play a pad preset to add more depth to the song in certain parts. For more prominent keyboard arrangements a live player should be performing these.

11:38 RE: Chester's Son Jaime Bennington. Okay, Jaime was not the first one to put out "rumors" of Emily Armstrong being linked to the Church of Scientology, it was Cedric Bixler-Zavala, the vocalist of the Mars Volta, note: he was also a member of this Scientology Church. Second; Emily has denounced her ties with the Church of Scientology, also distanced herself from Danny Masterson. Can we leave it there now? She's made a public post about this on her-Instagram. Lastly; Ask yourself, why is Jaime Bennington stirring up drama? The dude has been known in the past to struggle with paying his rent, crowdfund projects too, this is nothing more than a ploy to gain sympathy, and attention - for monetary gain? Probably, for attention? Most likely. There is a reason why Mike Shinoda does not respond to the drama. Final point; Jaime has no authority to say what happens in Linkin Park or warrant the audacity to impose himself on Linkin Park's comeback. Linkin Park is Mike Shinoda's band, they are not trying to replace Chester, they are moving on, still Mike celebrates Chester's legacy live, anywhere he can. Go watch the interview Linkin Park did with Zane Lowe, it explains everything

You know, in the old days; you would have hauled out a SVT rig with a 810 cab for the bass player and you would have a stereo rig of Mesa/Marshall heads with at least 2 412 cabs. Now thanks to modern tech, you get that sound and sounds great without carrying all that stuff.

Yeah, Pix content is indeed way better then LP drama. 👍 BTW I think it´s a great idea to print own merchandise. Sadly not many have the opportunity to do so cause expensiv equipment, personal/time is needed. But if you can use it for different business topics/departments to make it economically viable, it´s a great thing. Then offer it for other b(r)ands too, can evolve it even to a business of it´s own.
