We have had some pretty heavy episodes lately, as is should be since war is the theme here. This episode felt like a nice time to stop and take a breath. Which is also why I enjoyed the not so serious tone during the asuna/alice fight. Though we do know all the info Asuna shares during the meeting I feel its important to witness the people of Underworld hear the truth and how they react to it. Plus it makes me appreciate more so how awesome and wise Bercouli is. I think it was also important to point out the fact that there is a mole in case people weren't paying close attention before....but I still see people confused anyway. I have to say, I remember back when I read the LN I really didnt like Alice very much. Everything you said regarding her inner monologue reminded me why. I dont get that sense of wanting to be the "alpha female" in her anime version and I do like her much more. Regarding her feelings towards Kirito, I do wish the anime made things a bit more clear but even if they did everyone will still just claim she is in love with him.

I don't particularly care for those added ALO scenes, either, but I have been wondering a bit recently whether the upcoming outside-Underworld scenes will be notably streamlined because of those prior additions. Hopefully they leave a certain craftsman character's speech more or less intact at least. I'm not sure exactly which cliffhanger you think the cour will end on, but I am leaning more toward them ending Alicization on a double episode again than I was when seeing the pacing for Volume 15. That said, if they're showing the new gear in the OP now, it seems like they need to at least get through Volume 17, Chapter 20, Part 3.

It is not explicitly explained but there is more than enough evidence to indisputably claim that Project Alicization Avatars simply adapt into their users. Think of it similar to the original SAO when Kayaba turned all the players into their real life selves, but much more advanced, since the STL can already read your brain in its entirety to provide a perfect visual of you. In fact, if you are familiar with Accel World, Brain Burst does a very similar thing, except that instead of using your view of yourself to construct an avatar, it reads your deepest insecurities and generates an avatar based on those.

It isn't impossible to control two Perfect Weapon Control's at the same time, however since even one can barely be controlled, and exhaust both itself and its user, nobody actually attempts it, because it isn't feasible in general. Edit: I should also add that the reason why nobody else ever dual wields is because they simply cant fight properly. It's impossible to wield two weapons at the same time, without the help of incarnation.

Kirito react to Alice and Sinon through the Incarnation, right? He didn't react physically to them at all. But with Asuna his reaction was truly physical, am I wrong? Whats this supposed to mean? After Episode 12, we get a break and we will get 11 more episodes after the break, probably in Spring. *It is not a different series,* Alicization is a single Season consisting of 47 episodes, covering Aliciczation Arc, divided into two parts, the Human Realm sub-arc and the War of Underworld sub-arc.

Spoiler answer: That was my assumption at the time of making this video. I figured they were stretching things a little to ensure they can end with the kidnapping, but from some (questionable) insider info, it seems like they may be changing some adaptation chronology to end up with Solus arriving instead. Again, that's some info I cannot confirm as it's a convoluted chain of trusted sources, so take that as you will. But after seeing next episode, I can definitely confirm if its true or not.

I don’t understand why people were mad how the novel handled Alices hostility. When I read it I thought it was completely believable. She has no reason to believe anything Asuna was saying. And when I read it in the novel I didn’t care how Alice was acting because at that point Asuna and Kirito already reunited and Alice wasn’t going to win Kirito over no matter what she did. I see no problem with the toning down of the hostility but like I said it didn’t bother me. I would also be completely fine with it if they adapted it 100 percent faithfully.

The bit that rubs people the wrong way is not that it's unrelateable, as I even said in the video, I am sad that we didn't get her perspective on all the matters. It's that even though her act is very much justifiable, especially when we learn about her perspective, we also learn she is continuing to do it with the sole purpose of "being a dick" that even she herself admits in her inner monologues. That's where it starts annoying people. Because while "not having any reason to trust Asuna" is perfectly okay, "still gonna be a bitch about it after I openly trust you" is an active decision she makes. And that is why toning down the hostility was a good decision in my opinion. The toned down part was her active decision to be a dick, not the one where she didnt initially trust Asuna.

It is never explicitly stated, so it is easier to assume that the Rapier is Stacia accounts default weapon. However, it's undisputable that the accounts adapt to their users, so it is not at all unreasonable to assume their equipment do as well. It's just as reasonable to assume it's Rath simply providing them their weapon of choice, since they could have simply talked about all of that before the dive to ensure the highest level of success, all the dialogue that is never covered in the anime or light novels.

As I look at it, the weapons of the super accounts make sense, Stacia being the most refined of the goddesses, the most refined weapon that anyone’s mind goes to is rapier, last I checked, Solus was even depicted using a bow (Which I find as a cute analogy to the sun sending rays to the earth like Solus sending arrows to her enemies), and Terraria... well... the largest amount of weapons we’ve seen are swords... and most weapons were allegedly derived from Terraria’s Blessings... so...
