SAO Forever ♾️ Also, the meat of SAO is in Alicization, season 3. Alicization was written in 2008, with the first book, "Aincrad" being written in 2001 and published in 2009. The are now 27 books and the writing just keeps. Getting. Better. An amazing story and I hope you stay to season 3. Also, it's a requirement to watch SAO Ordinal Scale movie before season 3. It's needed for context reasons.

So few people react to this gem of a show, and I'm so glad you found it and you're actually into it so far it makes me so so happy. This was my first anime and it still has a place in my favorites even after watching the likes of deathnote and AOT and Demon Slayer, etc etc, this stays UP THERE in ranking for favorites. Top three at best, top 5 at least. Hope you go all the way to the end of this journey, it's amazing!!!

Aincrad means An INCarnating RADius but it was also inspired by the hebrew Ayin meaning nothingness and CRAD standing for cradle, a Cradle of Nothingness, in which worlds sprout from nothing, the Aincrad became a cradle in which the rest of the series unfolds.
