I love that this film didn’t rely on quick cuts and shaky camera work. Just Long shots that allows us to see the amazing work MJW and the guy he’s fight are showcasing. We need more action movies to do this!

Another thing we needed (way too late now) was a DIRECT SEQUEL. The movie ended with what looked like him on some kind of "quest" but nope. No sequel and what is more "Pretty Boy" Price was not really a "villain". Bone had to fight him but fighting was his job. He was NOT a villain like those crime lords were. I wanted Price to have his own spinoff as a HERO similar to Uri Boyka from Undisputed 2 onwards. Maybe he did not realize the full extent of McVeigh's criminality and refuses to fight for him anymore in disgust when he finds out. But nope. Total lost opportunity.

That’s how you shot an actual action scene. The longer the shot without cuts the more immersive you feel as a viewer.

Why doesn't mainstream Hollywood doesn't use him as a box office action hero? He has the charisma. Not to mention the SKILLS.

Because Hollywood only like people they can control....only puppets. People that want it so bad they will do things morally wrong to get the top spot. Michael just isn't with it. It's the same reason why a lot of people go straight to DVD. They produce with their own money a lot of the times to avoid the middle man. Unfortunately, the gatekeepers usually win because they control the press unless something goes viral and that...they cannot stop completely

I posted on another thread that something I wanted to see in the sequel is a scary as eff opponent who unlike Price absolutely rivals Bone in fighting ability and power and overall "badassness". His fight against whoever that is should push him to his absolute limits and leave him badly beaten up and exhausted with a 51,49 victory. And Price should have, like Uri Boyka from Undisputed 2, had his own spinoff as a hero.

The mainstream cinema is more focused on speeding the fight scenes without any regards to fighting techniques and weapons they are using or how they should be used in practical terms...this movie is fine example of fighting skills ,techniques used & choice of weapons like sword fight scene. Jay is a professional when he’s fighting each move is clear crisp & not being rushed over .Blood & bone is one of his finest action films.

In both this and Undisputed 2 Mike Jai White was the hero and Scott Adkins and Price were the "villains" (quotes because they might not really be villains in the classic sense, kind of like some of the Rocky movie opponents) but it might have been interesting to see different movies where those same actors face each other but REVERSING who the hero and villain are, or to see Matt Mullins vs Scott Adkins.

Dude is super corny period. The first fight was slow and the choreographing for it could be seen from a mile away. Then this weak follow up sequence with him throwing away the sword like he super skilled is wack. Quit being corny and just kick butt. I digress! Be blessed in the Lord Jesus Christ name.

This scene kind of irritated me. Not because of the action, but from when White throws the sword away to fight with the sheath. Sure, it was a movie machismo moment, but only the most stupid person in the world would actually do that. The sheath is very light (I’ve had similar swords) and is practically useless as a weapon. Maybe if you poked someone in the neck with the end… but still unlikely. Wacking someone with it would only piss them off. It vaguely reminded me of a John Wick scene where Wick put a book against someone’s face and started punching the book. Denzel Washington used a book as a fighting tool correctly in The Equalizer. But to cover someone’s face and hit the book… absolutely stupid. All that does is give your enemy padding to lessen the impact.

Literally the worst fight choreography I can remember seeing in years. It looked the actors were afraid to get close to each other for fear of getting hurt. Some of the kicks looked like slo-mo.
