I just want to say there is many reel companies worldwide that make great reels for great prices!! People don't do the research to find them. It's all about brand marketing in the U.S. Glad you liked the reel!!

You're a good presenter Angler and an honest guy. As long as you're willing to be critical when it's called for I'm good with your equipment reviews.
@McFlyAngler7 жыл бұрын
+Big Papi yes, I hope I have shown my critical nature? Totally just being fully honest as best as I can. Is the reel perfect? No... are there better reels out there? Yes. But I think I explained that. Is it a good reel for the price? Absolutely! Honestly I was shocked about the quality when I got the reel in the mail. Haha I'll try my best to stay honest and never sell out. :)

I own the piscifun venom 2000 size spinning reel and it is really nice. drag is great. just bought this sword 3/4 for my new Redington Vice. I have 3 Okuma fly reels and a Dr. Fish and they all do a great job. I don't like spending a bunch on fly reels, I'm just looking for a good drag and smooth operation, they mostly just hold the line.

@@McFlyAngler well, I just got the 3/4 sword for my 9' 4wt Vice. Hope it is good. I have an Okuma Sierra X 8wt and love it. The reason I bought the sword is it has good reviews, it matches my rod, it's $50, and on a 4wt I don't feel the reel is nearly as important as on a larger rod for big fish.✌
@ericnortan90123 жыл бұрын
@@McFlyAngler so now I just cancelled my Sword and broke down and spent the money on a Redington Rise. It was 25% off and I had some amazon points so I paid $130. Ya, I'm a jack ass, but it should match my Vice rod nicely. Now I have to wait till tuesday. I have other reels i can use this weekend though, I'm using my new rod no matter what reel.

@McFlyAngler2 жыл бұрын
Oh man this video is 5 years old or so. I can’t remember specifically. I find you can put on tbe line backwards, then wind backing till it’s full to test. Of course definitely under back the line, you don’t want it too thick and rubbing when reeling in.

@McFlyAngler7 жыл бұрын
+Kie Reynolds what are you going to be fishing? Streamers, nymphing, or dry fly? It really depends on specifics you know?
@kiereynolds11757 жыл бұрын
McFly Angler well mostly just all around WF floating line, but mostly a mix of nymphing and dry flying
@McFlyAngler7 жыл бұрын
+Kie Reynolds ok, so if you were fishing Streamer I would say Rio outbound short is awesome! Gets large, heavy flies out there in one or two false casts. For dry fly or nymphing, I do like 90% roll casts. So I like a double taper line. I have only used Rio's double taper. I think it's their in touch DT trout line, or something like that.

Hey McFly, wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a couple of AC window units than moving? I bought one at Sam's club for 300.00 10,000 BTU. 99.00 for 6000 BTU.? Not sure where you live but it does look sandy where you fish. I live in Maine but we use our AC's daily in the summer. Electric bill is a little higher but the comfort is worth it. Sorry you have to move. All the best, Sean
@McFlyAngler7 жыл бұрын
+Sean Mooney we were going to have to move into months anyway as we only had a six month lease. And it wouldn't short term be cheaper however we are paying about 200 more for this house because it supposed to have AC... we found a much nicer place at about $150 cheaper. So in the long run it's better just to move
@seanmooney39077 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's none of my business anyway. I probably would have messaged you privately if I had thought about it. All the best, God bless, Sean
@McFlyAngler7 жыл бұрын
Oh, dude your fine. Public message for this is totally cool. I have nothing to hide. HAHA So I messaged this while driving back from a fishing trip yesterday and did the voice dictation on my phone. It changed "in two months" to "into months". So what I meant was, "in two months we have to move anyway". Sorry! This was also just another straw on the camels back to us. When we moved in, we were told they would fix everything broken in the house, and they never did fix them (like 5 things don't work that I had to fix myself). Also, we were told that there would be no yard maintenance, and that a gardener was included. A month later, everything was overgrown, and I called them to ask when they were sending the gardener, and they said that I was about to be fined if I don't take care of it. Sure enough they sent me a fine for not fixing my own yard. They didn't even give me a chance to do it within that week. Its now done, and I spend my time pulling weeds even though I was told it was maintenance free. Just all lies from them, and so thats another reason why we are moving.

I highly recommend getting a book... or watching a video... or something... before buying, renting or leasing a home. Understanding how a home is heated and/or cooled is pretty much home owning 101. You can't cool a home without an A/C unit, which is normally installed on a concrete pad outside the home. They are pretty big and hard to miss. In addition, you should be checking the insulation in any home you're about to spend a penny on.If I were you, I wouldn't sign a single paper ever again, until you educate yourself on how houses work. Home ownership first... fishing second. Yes... I'm an old man. I've bought three homes and helped all three kids buy their home. And I fish too.Best of luck to you!
