A common trick I use to help with a low compression engine to see how it runs. I use some oil on the piston. Pour it down the spark plus take up extra ring spacing. Smoky but works

you could try adding fiberglass fibers to the cement for strength. it also takes about a week for concrete to hit half strength and a month for full strength. I also think you'd be better off trying to cut the ring grooves rather than molding them

Polish head. Might be worth sealing concrete as well prior to running it. Possibly have a pro mix designer on the concrete. Box store is a mistake. Love it!

If you ever wanna redo it i have the recipe. Plaster of Paris 1/3 in Portland Cement with river or sea sand 1/3 of the overall mix volume and whatever your hand can grab of concrete reinforcing fibers. For every cup of water add a spoon of PVA glue. No rebars, mesh, aggregate, anything else. You need to leave it alone for a couple days before remove the mold and occasionally spray it with water the first few days, you aren't going for structural concrete you just want this as ready is possible. I use this recipe for model houses and the cast comes out smooth, it sets within moments with the plaster added, and strength wise i can step on a model house with a 3mm ceiling slab.
