Hi all, Just wanted to make a quick announcement as I have been receiving tons of messages about fishing locations. Please don't think I am being a douche or secretive about locations. I've started KZbin to help out as much as possible and share my experiences, so that we can all benefit. I just don't think publicly posting locations would be the right thing for me to do, as the the ramifications of doing so would make it un-enjoyable for all persons. I use Google Maps in Satellite mode to find wharf's and locations and give it a go a number of times to see how it produce's & repeat the process. Please free to contact me via IG, FB & YT as I'm happy to help out as much as I can and steer you in the right direction. Thanks for your understanding & Tight-lines!

Yes you are allowed to fish there but fish off the walkway not the rocks as too many snags. I am going there this weekend. Trying a new invention of mine. I got 50 meters mono line and turned it into a birds nest , put a heavy sinker in the middle and tie a pilchard in the middle as well. Cast it out and hopefully a blue swimmer crab will get tangled in it. I also catch heaps of good sized crabs but they always let go go when I lift them out of the water

could you plz tell me where this spot is or once i find it myself i would just let every1 know the spots location your choice

You seem like a stand up guy, attempting to blackmail me and all. I created this channel to help out and provide some entertainment, but with your attitude you won't get the most helpful responses. It's a very well known location, so you better start your investigation inspector gadget. Tight-lines & Thanks for watching!

You should try Mrs Macquaries Chair. Caught a huge John Dory yesterday while bringing in an undersized snapper. Excellent spot to fish on the rising tide

@nickcoudounellis96686 жыл бұрын
@@Lj-er8mo you need to get there very early. I go there between 4.30am to 8am. If you fish there in the middle of the day you won't even get a bite. You can park up until 8 am free. Daybreak is the best time on a rising tide. Landed 2 Bonito and a huge blue grouper yesterday
@Lj-er8mo6 жыл бұрын
Nick Coudounellis Niceeeeeee wouldn’t expect a big blue to be there. On the crab?

Just a small tip mate if you are going to fish with circles you should use locked drag you will be very lucky to catch a fish fishing loose drag circle try gamugatsu octopus hooks if u want to fish loose drag
@FishingwithMarkiMark6 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate, good pickup! Definitely agree needing pressure to set the hook. 99% I generally reserve circles for livies on loose drag. I allow time to let them eat it, then pickup the reel and tighten up to set the hook! Not the most orthodox and thought i'd give it a crack with pillies and hooked up before (targeting kings only), so I thought hey why not haha. Thanks for the tip & Tight-lines. :)
@FishingwithMarkiMark6 жыл бұрын
Ahhh Cheers mate thanks for your help! I only just realised that you can get day time Jews. I went out with some buddies targeting kings and we got a couple of 70ish cm day time jew on a Live yakkas, single hook 4/0 circle hook unweighted. Was amazed as it happened twice in a two week period. I have to give targeting jews a proper crack, i haven't been into them as I know they can be quite fussy and a hard species to target, long nights etc. But thanks for the inspiration, it certainly gives me motivation to give it a go! Thanks for the support & tight-lines mate! :)

@@FishingwithMarkiMark no worries mate don't listen to what people say if you are spending all night chasing a jew your doing it wrong 90 minutes before 90 minutes after tide turn chase low tide tide works best further up river say abbotsford to homebush high tide abbotsford on bream in between to keep you occupied if nothing in that time just pack it up and try again another day
@FishingwithMarkiMark6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback & tips mate, greatly appreciate it I was reading a lot about them & saw conflicting information, but good to know its 90 mins before and after the turn of tide! It was within 90mins on the run out tide around midday we got a by-catch of a 70cm jew only recently! Was so surprised. Thanks for the support & tight-lines mate :)

@@FishingwithMarkiMark yeah dw mate I've caught a lot of jew lol over 50 haven't cracked a meter yet so I'm still learning my self want to crack that meter I've lost a meter + 2 times at least one snapped my holder and took my gear lol will get it one day good luck with fishing mate keep it up

I’ve been fishing there for many years and the best time for big fish is the evening high tides. 🙂

Here in nz we have to measure from the fork of the tail instead.nice work m8
@FishingwithMarkiMark5 жыл бұрын
Ahh yes, I've heard that. You lads can measure to the fork as all your fish sizes are HUGE! We wouldn't be able to keep a fish for the table if we went by NZ size limits aha :D Thanks bud!

Great vid.Do you use a sinker? Or just the pillies on the gang hooks?
@FishingwithMarkiMark6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words & support mate. No sinker bud. The pillies are still semi-defrosted and are quite dense, so they can be casted out relatively far and still sink slower through the water column to target a wider range of species. Hope that helps! Tight-lines.
