I agree, its a complete mess. Which is a great shame because there was a great opportunity to edit it into a story with useful historical images and a narrative that made sense.

@@BrassLock It's edited more like a horror art film than a doco.. Especially that part at 4:03 with that menacing clown laugh just looping throughout the whole thing. I mean they did a good job at creating an eerie ambience but it's not super appropriate for the event
@BrassLock3 жыл бұрын
@@zoobloo Yes I understand your point. I guess my search is more focused on finding out what the Ghost Ride looked like (inside) prior to its destruction, and its location in relation to other structures in the park. The new ABC Investigation announced today will answer a lot of those questions I hope.

I dont know which is more horrifying the accident itself or the editing to maximumize the creepiness. Kinda disrespectful.

Its hard for me to hear the woman's horrific tale which i believe shouldn't be interrupted with the annoying laughter in the background. That was her time, her time to reprieve just let it out and have her say uninterrupted. Just get it done so she can do what it is that she needs to now. I know this wasnt the actual interview but i believe it shouldnt be touched in this way.

Very interesting. My earliest memory was formed inside that ghost train in 1978. The fact that so easily that first memory could've been my last has is something which has haunted me on and off throughout my life.Thanks for sharing this video. It's an excellent account of one of Sydney's most tragic occurrences. I must have searched for information like this a thousand times before since the advent of the Internet. It's a topic which has been suspiciously absent from the digital zeitgeist and that's really saying something in a world where supposedly there's nothing which can't be Googled. Thanks again for the upload. Nice work.

All footage is original from the late Martin Sharp who edited and dubbed the laughs. He was a true champion in his life long obsession with exposing what occurred from the Ghost Train fire, and remained close friends with Linda Godson (the woman in the interview who lost her family) till the day he died.
