It was invented to be a safe explosive (I know, safe explosive is a bit of oxymoron, but in this case it means "it will explode when you want it to explode, not when you carry it and sneeze"), but then somebody figured out that it is perfect for blowing up bridges, cargo and people. Same. I'm a woman who doesn't wear makeup, ever. (It saves you an absolute fortune) Nobody cares if you're not wearing any (men 100% do not, that's for sure), and pretty much everyone will not treat you differently. I can expect a few insecure women not liking how you're comfortable with your own face when they aren't, but that's about it. And I get the benefits of gradually over time learning to love my face for what is naturally is, no matter what. It is me, it is unique, and I'm not just some copy of someone for 100 quid. I don't have to worry about lipstick, foundation, etc. getting on anything I use such as cups and clothes. And after years upon years of doing it... I love the way I look. If they always cover up their face: I am NOT surprised the natural them doesn't make them feel comfortable, because they're so unused to seeing it (nevermind that makeup will make your acne a whole lot worse, so the cycle repeats). Women need this advice every single day: you don't need to impress anyone, not even yourself. Your own face is impressive in and of itself, and the more self-confident you become in your OWN skin, the better you'll feel about yourself and it will last a long time. Nobody secure would matter.

A few decades ago it was flat butts that also looked weird to me. It's like the "current thing" is what's uncommon, then there's a rush to conform so it's not uncommon anymore and people who liked that thing are bored, so they like what's different from the new norm, another rush to conform and it's common again. Better to just be yourself so the person who likes who you already are can actually find you. Instead people keep hiding and altering themselves so you never find someone who'll like you for you.

It seems like unrealistic beauty standards are a thing way more online than IRL. My mom is 76, she's healthy and still has nice hair, but no skin care routine whatsoever. Seriously, she never wears sunscreen and doesn't even own facewash. I just turned 40, and put definite effort into beauty, and while I do get more compliments and flirtation, my mom gets hit on more, and by people who are genuinely interested in her. She gets out way more, and is friendly and open, not afraid to be herself. Even though my mom will say that she wishes she could be more "beautiful" like me, it seems her outgoing nature, and untouched beauty are actually more sought after.

The more insecure with ourselves we are, the more motivated of a consumer we are. The more likely we are to spend money on new & different products and items and invasive procedures. And not to be corny or cheesy or anything, but like, we literally don’t have to do that. People, including those we consider our "friends" or family, can be incredibly cruel. No wonder people's self esteem is shot. I've been around/involved with enough younger women to know how much this is affecting them, too, and I also know that, unfortunately, no matter how much you might try to tell them that those comments aren't true, and that they're beautiful, or that so much of this is fake... I've decided it's fairly straight forward, most women do not know what men find attractive, just like most men do not know what women find attractive. And since the beauty industry and normal, everyday discussions and application of beauty and beauty products are pretty well completely made up of women and their friendship groups, it kind of becomes a situation of the blind leading the blind. Same as groups of dudes who are geared up muscle hunks at the gym, perfect for Grinder, but most women do not like excessive muscles, muscles yes, excessive muscles no, I imagine they look the same as a women with ZZ sized hooters and a 20" waist look to men, out of proportion and bizarre.

It was nice, it upped their kissing game alot and I particularly was fond of it. However thats *a rare exception* to the rule. I'm talking these girls barely had any pink on their face cause their lips were almost pulled all the way inward. Thin Lips was an understatement. So a little filler can be alright for most guys, its the point of making it *not noticeable* more than anything. But everything else outside breast reduction and the rare exception that a woman has a massive honker of a nose that ruins her whole face. Its all off the table lmao atleast for me. Back in the late 2000s, we had a mandatory summer read of a book series called The Uglies that very much reflects what we are seeing today. It was a dystopian world where everyone was legally obligated to get plastic surgery to be attractive because people got so sensitive to what normal people looked like that it caused people to have severe mental breakdowns if they saw even the slightest flaw on someone and anyone who refused to get these procedures done were exhiled from society or even killed for endangering the mental wellbeing of the public. If anything, this sounds like the road South Korea is heading, but we aren't far behind either.
