I’ve said it before; as an 81 year-old jazz pianist and classical and jazz composer, to me, Sydnie has one of those generational voices (like BarbraStreisand and Celine Dion) and there is every possibility she will be nabbed by the industry for a solo career before the theatrical community has a chance to grab her. She has an album coming out in September and a 15-city tour of Great Britain ahead as well! If she ever gets to the US she’ll sell out concert halls here! She sounds and looks like a star! She’s gonna have a killin’ future!

The show Starlight Express recently reopened on the Westend. This song means a lot to Sydnie because she was a swing in Starlight Express in Germany for a few years and met her boyfriend, etc while being in it. She sang it on social media after she won BGT , Andrew Lloyd Webber heard her and asked her to release it as a single. Sydnie is a star⭐️

The song was written by Andrew Lloyd Webber for the theatre production of the same name in 1984.(UK). Heard it then and still love it today!!! ❤❤❤❤❤. Sydnie sings it perfectly!!!

Sydnie's ambition is to be on the West End, but I think she will become to big for that. I find it hard to come up with words to describe just how Wonderful (that's one) this woman is. I'll go with MAGNIFICENT!!!

ALW melodies are both haunting and daunting, in that they don't always make the progressions that are logical, or even reasonable. Fortunately, like his ex- Sarah Brightman, Sydnie has all the tools to make the vocal leaps look easy.

Disney song?!?! Starlight Express is only the 9th longest running musical in the West End. Ran from 1984-1992, the re launched 1992-2002. It is the most successful musical in Germany which she was a member of the cast.

Starlight Express is a theatre musical where all the cast are on roller skates and skate around the whole auditorium .theres hydraulic lifts and moving platforms . Its exactly how it is in London uk

All of the characters in Starlight Express are different train cars. As mentioned below all of the actors are on roller skates. The show originally opened in 1984. It tells the story of a young but obsolete steam engine, Rusty, who races in a championship against modern locomotives of diesel and electric engines in the hope of impressing a first-class observation car, Pearl. It ran for more than 7000 performances.

Starlight Express was composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber. I believe he asked her to put her kisses on the song and to record or he gave her permission to record it after BGT. I’ve heard both versions of the story of how it came to be. The song holds deep feelings for many reasons for Sydnie. She acted as an understudy for several of the stars in Germany as well as meeting her boyfriend while doing Starlight Express. Thank you so much for doing a reaction of her beautiful rendition of the song. I appreciate and agree with your interpretations of the song.
