Always a huge fan of Sylvia ever since her first hit "Nobody" in 1982. Where did all the years go!!! She sang so many great songs. Very underrated artist!!! And what a gorgeous woman!!!!! Does anyone know if Sylvia ever got married?

I have fond memories of my mom listening to 1050 WHN in the car, and I loved when this song came on. It felt so dramatic and fun. Finding this video is a real treat for me. The song is still great!

I would not categorize this at all as country music. It is typical European disco pop of late 1970s and early 1980s. Melodic and catchy. A great version was recorded in German by Elke Best "Der Matador" that I bought once as a 45 rpm single. Great song and both versions are worth listening. Thanks for letting me find this 40 years later.

My mom used to play this on guitar and sing it a lot when I was a kid in the 80s and early 90s.. just recently looked it up because I handed my mom a guitar the other day and demanded she play it cuz I couldn't get it out of my head and discovered she'd forgotten the chords. Glad it's here.. now I'm hoping I can find the sheet music somewhere 😂

I think this song means . She's infatuated with him . But he don't know she exists . She dreams they will meet under the silver stars , and dance to mandolins and soft guitars . And dreams once more . She'll give her love to the matador .

You have to remember that 40 years ago, bullfighting wasn't the internationally recognized blood sport it is now. That should insure this beautiful song will stay untainted by today's unoriginality blight on Billboard.
@steveadams79402 жыл бұрын
I dont find bull fighting original or good nor do i find the running in Pamplona of the bulls to be interesting since people have died and an animal thats wild should remain wild no put up in a cage for human entertainment its dangerous to the animal and to the human

People think lions tigers bears can be tamed but only to an extent it still has millions of years of evolution its natural insticts to hunt are gonna come out some way.these things should not be zoo animals .because they are fed some think thats enough but its nature is to hunt taking that away is not mentally healthy for the animals or physically crocodiles same thing these are predatory animals and taking away their natural ability to hunt also makes the animals bored without a sense of its natural purpose
@steveadams79402 жыл бұрын
I don't mean anything against you.tho just my opinion i know you didn't ask me. I just think it's better to leave them in the wild i mean that's like politicians putting us in zoos taking us from family taking our kids and putting us on display can you imagine the horror we would feel sacry 💀?
