Balut is one of those foods that the look to taste ratio is complete and polar opposite. It's definitely mind over matter. I always recommend to not look at it and just eat it because honestly, it tastes just like a boiled egg. Concentrated in the "eggy' taste but not in a bad way. It's ok Doohee for not wanting to eat it again. You did it. The mental part of this is the most difficult part. At least it's not cazu marsu or hakarl or surstromming. Just Google it. All countries and cultures have those "controversial" foods but the history behind it tells you about it's people and it's part of history and culture

I had it for the first time in Cambodia but it's actually ain't that bad if you get past the idea that there's a little hairy duckling in there! When we moved to the Philippines the local friends I made had me try it several times lol but as an adult, I think I'll just stick to penoy! But it does go well with beer though 😅 kudos to everyone for being brave and open minded! This was fun to watch!

steven got the 18 weeks? wow you should eat it in one go (with vinegas and salt!). im amazed though bcs he did try! it's actually good, try not to cover your eyes next time! as for dohee, he is really funny! even eating the durian scared him but it's so fun watching him scared but still tried his best to taste it lol! ryan on the other hand is so fun to watch too hahahahaha he seems nervous trying but seems like he's used to with the exotic food, he's not picky.not a huge fan of balut but whenever i crave for it i should really eat it. i can eat 2-3 tbh especially after drinking sesh. thanks for this sylvia! you're becoming a local each video tbh ❤

I love balut, been grown up with it! First time I eat, that my Tatay gave to me I was 15 yrs old, I throw up. Then I try again, it taste good, when I didn’t think 🤔 the chicks, 🐥 and the beck on it🤣, since then I try more and more, I got use to it, and love it in the end. You miss something in life, either it is regular food or exotic, need to try it out.
