The one that saddens me the most is Project Hot Tub. Seeing how much untapped potential there is for it, I can't believe it was cancelled in favour of a Star Wars game that was also killed. Edit: The intro is completely true. However, I can name a few people who have a bunch of ideas for the franchise.

Iirc in the comics it was the purple fog what started the apocalypse I also remember PVZ2 stating zombies appeared since the dawn of humanity(20 minutes after it), but that's probably a paradox caused by Dave

Seeing all these projects with so much potential just be casually snuffed out is sad. Especially Project Hot Tub, that looks like it could have been amazing. I sometimes wonder if PVZ could be revitalized and brought back into the limelight. What exactly would it take to convince EA and Popcap to give this franchise another proper chance? why was the "zomburbia" update for gw1 not mentioned here, i feel like its big enough to be considered a project and there is quite alot of it to cover the zomburbia update, as there is no official name for it outside of the huge amount of files with the name "repotted" in gw1's files and in gw2's files too ( all in which happen to be assets related to zombie themed maps, and the time travel stuff ), was ment to be an update for gw1 which introduced new maps ( such as seeds of time from gw2 ), and zombified versions of every gw1 map ( such as brain street and aqua center ) but later got scrapped for unknown reasons and turned into gw2, which is much different than what it was originally, there is alot of things to cover on this topic and im surprised no one made a proper video going through everything

Honestly I’ve never heard about this until now, that’s pretty interesting. I knew that GW1 had a LOT of unused content, but knowing why? Never crossed my mind. That seems fascinating though, could be a topic of discussion on my channel in the future (if someone doesn’t beat me to it, GW YT is popping off with talent right now 😭)

I hope project hot tub may be revived some day. Maybe EA realizes they are sitting on a gold mine after the r/BatmanArkham insanity and maybe they can capitalize off of it. I think saying pvz is for kids is wrong. Maybe when it first came out nearly 20 years ago sure, but now i dont think the franchise is gaining that many new young fans. I wish they went for the more mature projects to appeal to the audience who have been playing from the start and are now grown up.

I remember seeing the zombatar trailer when I was so young. I didn't know any english back then so even if the title or comments mentioned it being cancelled, I had no idea. So I searched for it for hours, and for multiple days. Then realized it might not be out yet so I regularly checked if it was out couple times a month whenever I was at my grandmas because we didn't have internet in our own house yet. The moment I realized the game was just straight up canned I felt real defeat for the first time in my life.
