Oh my god, I have this with my mother (her Sag Saturn square my Pisces Moon). It's the bane of our relationship. As a child, whenever I went to her for comfort or to get my feelings heard she would either a) tell me I shouldn't be upset about what I was upset about or b) give me advice for how to fix my (wrong) behavior. For example, if I told her I was feeling lonely because my two best friends had moved away she would reply that maybe I didn't have more friends yet because my facial expressions were off-putting and that I should practice smiling in a mirror! It's nuts, because she's not an unfeeling person (Scorpio Moon), but I really came to feel that I couldn't trust her. I just stopped confiding in her altogether. Even now that I'm grown and we're a lot closer she still often defaults to this behavior with me.

I agree with this. My boyfriend and I have a Saturn-Moon opposition. I'm the Saturn, he's the Moon, my North Node is in Libra, and his North Node is in Capricorn. It's definitely a balance of me learning to be more compassionate, accepting, and non-judgemental and him coming to me with his feelings in an honest, direct, and mature way.

I was born with Saturn squaring my Moon, Mercury, and Venus. Everyone born the same year as me have their Saturn squaring my Moon and Mercury. Some square my Venus. I grew up being unable to connect with people my age. I felt unable to express my Moon, Mercury, and Venus without feeling rejected, repulsed, or put down. There's always been a sense of inhibition from me around people my age. Growing up with people who made me feel unacceptable has been really hard. =( I truly believed in it.... When I get sad, no one knew how to comfort me well. They actually made me feel more worse because they either try to get me to laugh or do something that wasn't what i wanted, which was to have someone just sit with me and let me FEEL...that's all. Just to feel validated and heard... I haven't met anyone my age I could connect with emotionally. High school was just awful. =( I was totally a zombie and a felt like a caged bird who couldn't sing or fly... But I am slowly learning that I am ok as I am and that there are people who will accept me, I just have to find the right ones. .. Anyways, everything you said was spot on! My bestie of 9+ years said they exact thing to me when I revealed to her my depression, "You should feel more blah blah blah....." lol She actually pushed me farther away from her... She wouldn't listen to my needs even when I told her what i needed. She got mad at me! She believed her way was the way I needed to go if I were to get better. No, she was completely wrong. No wonder I felt this with soooo many people my age. I have a Taurus moon and most people my age (born in 92) have a Saturn Aquarius. Even my fiancé. So lots of squares to my moon. No one really cares if I’m sad they just want me to get over it and be happy again. Which causes me to turn bitter when I see these same people be so empathetic and kind towards others. I always just ask why can’t I get that from them. It’s a really lonely aspect

Yes, I had this aspect with my ex husband of 16 and half years. It’s a VERY hard aspect, and not worth it to stay with someone who can’t meet your emotional needs, especially if your emotional nature is how you truly feel close to someone. What made it even worse is that my moon was in his 6th house 😢

@@eleura3584 well the 6th house is a very karmic house. Can be a powerfully healing house if the aspects in synastry with another person is beneficial. However if your aspect’s with another soul is originally stressed it could pose even further challenges. Especially if you’re unaware of what and why the irritation is there to begin with. I do believe though if two people are healthy and aware of themselves the sixth house could present some wonderful opportunities for deeply healing whatever planets/celestial bodies that are meeting up in someone else house, no matter the aspects. Not without work though. But knowing is half battle, right?... Thanks for the question. ✨

Lol! Great video Jewel! I have this aspect in synastry. He also has it in his natal chart. Both our moons conjunct in Scorpio; however, his Aquarius Saturn squares my moon and his natal moon. We also have moon conjunct Pluto in synastry and both our natal charts. He's a jerk, but he's taught me so much about self-control in a good way and ways I don't want to be. I admire that part of him; in a way when I see him act so put together in difficult situations, I wish I could be in control the way he is. In the beginning when things got really serious, I felt my feelings always being hurt or criticized even stifled. I did back away and started to suppress a lot of my emotions. There is a lot of undercurrents that take place and we pick up on the hidden emotions instead of just saying them, it's like he felt me backing away, and I felt his insecurity about it. I do come off sometimes as crazy or to intense, so I've learn to talk calmer and to the point with him. He wants to get to the point instead of describing it or trying to paint an image for him to understand. It's a learning process with each other. Like I said a lot of the intense emotions are so difficult to express on both ends. Me for past rejections from him in the way I should act with my emotions and him because of his own insecurities. There is constant nagging feeling of duty.

Sometimes the moon can be volatile because when you’re constantly imprisoned and judged by Saturn with no empathy. Moon falls in Saturns ruler of Capricorn. She is the planet of empathy being abused by the planet that lacks empathy. You can only abuse someone so long before the victim fights back. You may not know what you did and that’s the point. Saturn still has things to learn even tho he thinks he knows everything. Let moon person teach you and see how that works. You also have to keep in mind the masculine feminine roles. As well as the natal aspects. You appear to be female but Saturn is masculine and your moon person is male but moon is feminine. Creates more tension. I have a libra moon which is usually a little more rational based and communicative and wanting things to be fair. But my Saturn person is squaring me from cancer. Saturn in cancer shows blocks in emotions and with the feminine. It’s further seen by his venus in Aquarius. Very detached. Yet his moon is in taurus making him very fixed and unchangable. It didn’t lend to much leeway for me as the moon person. I’m a cancer stellium. What he lacks I have and he couldn’t ever understand it with his Venus at an inconjunct to my cancer planets. My moon also had his Pluto conjunct, with Mars inconjunct, and his sun and Mercury squaring my moon. A lot of hard placements on my sensitive moon, upsetting my emotional balance in a severe way. I otherwise manage my emotions very well. Really gotta take the whole chart into account.

@@jlynnmenzel Beg to differ. You made it sound like I’ve been emotionally abusive to him which is so far from the truth. He also has a Libra Moon while I’ve a Cancer Saturn but you have to take into consideration how these 2 planets are behaving in individual natals. My Saturn trine/sextile my Sun/Mercury/Mars. While I’m a serious person, I’m not cold. In fact, I’m more affectionate and outwardly caring than him. His Moon conjunct Pluto. He hides his emotions and is very guarded. Sometimes he will say things which sounds like outright rejection to me although he will deny it. Only at times I wanna leave the relationship he expresses his deep feelings. In comparison I’m more consistent and I don’t do/say things to push him away. I become cold only when he keeps making me feel rejected. You said Libra moon rationalise and wanna be fair. My observation is Libra’s fairness is ONLY in their own perspectives. They don’t really think of how people “feel”. If they judge it to be fair, then it is fair. It’s all from their angle. My guy has said things to me which sounded so UNFAIR but he finds it fair, lol.

I'm living in this with my boyfriend....literally the "should," statements close off the present emotions and makes them a thing of the past and makes the emotions seem like they're hypothetical thing, rather than an actuality and something to work through/discover. It completely debilitates the point of the conversation to begin with, to which Jewel mentioned, shuts down the moon persons communication!!!...There's always a "Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda," but how does that help in problem solving if you're not fully understanding where the emotion/action came from?! My Saturn actually manifested in the relationship as a distancing myself from her (Saturn in Pisces) when we first met and making sure I spent the least amount of time with her as possible. She is very affectionate by nature and yet even when I pushed her away multiple times we still needed up together. Once we got past that wall though there were other aspects in our chart that were explosive (in a good way) to say the least.

It's interesting because i have the total opposite. Our moon saturn synastry is a conjunction and an opposition, but in composite they are square. Our moon are trine eachother. I don't know how to interpret this at all. Do you suggest looking at mercury placements for communication?

My Saturn ex injured my arm seriously. I am the moon. I was crying due to his misunderstanding. He pushed me right after the session with his therapist. Before starting the therapy he had supported me and was understanding. Together with the therapist he did me wrong. The therapist said it wasn’t his fault that he injured my arm. In a divorce file he devalued me in all things possible describing on detail how I was ill all the time. It was a shock for me, I gave him permission to file a divorce but I didn’t suspect that he would write all that shit. Hate him to bits🤦😬

Sweetest person ever loved by everyone, never said any shoulds or musts but I was never myself wit her, I felt so stifled. Speaking from 13 years of experience being the Moon person in such a relationship (that ended a year ago). I can´t stress enough how accurate I find this description. As most of your aspect videos, dear Jewel! Jewel says it, but let me underline: 1. Moon person feels emotional disapproved by Saturn person, who feels he or she knows better and that Moon person is just being silly. 2. Saturn person may be a wonderful person, able to pay attention to and nurture the whole world - only not the Moon person! (Which makes communication much harder, because the Saturn person may have a hard time to identify with the criticism from Moon person. That´s where astrology comes in, as it has instruments to explain to Saturn person that IN THIS PARTICULAR RELATION, he or she is blind and deaf to the Moon person´s feeling and emotional needs, even if he or she by most people are perceived in another way. My partner was a Cancer Moon; it didn´t help us much in hour relation, although she´s nurturing in other relations. The Moon persons represents a blind and somewhat provocative spot in the Saturn person´s view, I´d say. If it´s spiritual growth you are after, I highly recommened this aspect... so to say. But maybe one doesn´t have much of a choice, it´s very carmatic I believe... This is probably meant to be. Not to last forever, though.

@D. P. As a cancer moon and even a strong 4th house, I have never sulked and went quiet on someone. I’m rather vocal and I suppose it’s due to my strong mercury aspects. So, it seems odd you mention it as if it’s the Saturn’s person fault. I noticed something common, but the moon person usually plays themselves as the victim and irony at best. And since you are the moon persons, it’s you who will act like a cancer. The moon being ruled by cancer and exalted in Taurus, it would make you the one who feels emotional and needy. I have this square, but I also have moon sextile moon and my moon trines with his Saturn. As a Capricorn, my Saturn is rather important to me… but if your partner wasn’t willing to be affectionate..it’s possible that their Saturn was damaged or they have Venus aspects with you that just wasn’t compatible. My Saturn is in Aquarius, and if you broke up during his Saturn return it would explain it. Not to mention, Saturn in Aquarius is considered a VERY strong Saturn since Saturn ruled Aquarius in ancient astrology. I find Saturn in Aquarius people very direct and forefront with what they want, but if they are damaged- they are confused with how to give intimacy. This wouldn’t make it their fault, but rather it means they need to heal. I struggled with giving cuddles and hugs, but I was scared when I was young… now more mature- I have evolved. But Aquarius is a slow learner when it comes to these things. But I do think you should take it into consideration that it’s not always Saturn’s fault, since Saturn is not runner by emotion but rather logic and discipline. If Saturn in Aquarius isn’t for you, it’s likely you need another age group Lol A good synastry doesn’t equal a good composite. Plus, without hard aspects…the relationship is boring. It’s possible your own chart doesn’t have good aspects with Uranus or Saturn. Vice versa with his moon.

Oh WOW ! - so much becomes clear now! I had this with my Ex. Me, Moon in Taurus 23deg, him Saturn (Rx) Aquarius 22deg. Here is another aspect between myself and my mom but with a wider orb. She has her Saturn at 19deg. Leo including her Pluto at 13deg. Leo. My MC is at 19deg. PIS so her Saturn is also inconjunct my MC and inconjunct my Chiron (22deg.) conj. my own Saturn at 23deg. and conj. my Lilith at 23deg in PIS. Many things are making sense now. Thank you Jewel. I think, yes, somehow. My boyfriend and I have that "double whammy" - it's my longest relationship ever. We just moved in together. But we have also many parallels in our charts that make mutual understanding easier. We are both earth signs, have our moon in fire signs in the 7th house, he is a libra ascendant, I have my venus in the first house near though not conjunct with my ascendant which is capricorn.

well his moon is in gemini in the 3rd house, I rest my case! No I am kidding of course, but it's interesting because I came to look at this video because as I was looking at my saturn placements, I realised that this said Gemini moon person hit all my weak Saturn points quite a lot.. so I thought "what are his planets doing to my Saturn?" So I am wondering if the moon square saturn cannot also emotionally affect Saturn issues in a hurtful way... or perhaps it's just his pluto which has harsh aspects to most of my personal planets that brings this up for me. Watching this video I am also willing to admit that had our relationship lasted longer, I am pretty sure my Saturn would have unfortunately become quite intolerant of his moon...

I have a Saturn and moon square with someone , I’m the Saturn and he’s the moon person by 6-7 degree orb? (I know for synastry some astrologers give smaller orbs) but this would be considered a loser orb in synastry and beyond 6 degrees I’m not sure it’s relevant in a synastry chart? I could be wrong... so that’s good, but I discovered my moon is undecile (a minor aspect) his Saturn by 32-33 degrees which I heard in harmonic astrology can manifest as a form of fixation.

I have a Capricorn moon and it square my man's Aries Saturn and that square is in my 8th house and conjunct in-between my Venus and Mars in Aries. So it's a very stabilizing and comfortable feeling for me to have some saturnian energy coming from my partner. We also have my sn conjunct his moon and his sn conjunct my sun. My Jupiter and Uranus is conjunct his Sun and his Mars Venus is conjunct my moon in Capricorn in my 5th house. This is one of two squares with our personal planets in our synastry the other one is my mercury square his sun. I have never felt more emotionally validated than with this person I have moon square Saturn with. I think it's a whole chart that determines how this will play out.

@@Regina88-84 that's really cool. I'm a Pisces sun with a cap moon. Did you have a long courtship or trouble getting the relationship going? Or opening up to him emotionally? I think that would be the only thing this aspect may be behind the frustration in the beginning of being friends before he finally committed to me. I had to be persistent with him which my Aries Mars didn't mind at all. I have an Aries 8th house I can be quite obsessive lol

I’m an Aries sun, Libra mars in the 1st house - I’m not an aggressive person at all.. I’m assertive tho.. his Pisces Mars is in the 8th house.. we both have 6th house moons

I have this with my best (male) friend of 24 years. Never had a fight. We have a double whammy. Or should I say ‘ Double Bammy’? The square and the conjunction. Yes he is strict sometimes but I can handle it. I have always known that it comes from a good place. Hé actually wants the best for me. I have Venus in the 10th natal and his Venus overlays my 10th. I don’t know what to make of this aspect. I have Saturn aspects to Mars and my Sun natally. My moon is in Aquarius and his Saturn is in Libra. I’m not the most sensitive of Moons and hope I can roll with it.

Maybe Saturn has a better way. My bf has the moon and he embarrasses me purposely in public and acts like a child and I am exhausted by it. Moon sucks the energy out of the Saturn person. I have to say he has a Saturn quincunx my moon so he can be extremely judgmental of me as well so it’s very hard.
