I'm afraid to say it's insulting and Synchro Arts are quite rightly getting a huge amount of negative press. Trying to charge existing 5 Ultra customers 50% of the full price for a few very minor updates is creating a a big backlash. £120 (in my case) for process groups, smarttune, a different coloured GUI and an undo button. It would be funny if it wasn't true. Given what Ultra 5 customers have already paid then these minor changes should be a free point update. Trying to charge *any* amount is fairly contemptuous given that 5 Ultra customers already own 98% of what's in 6 Pro. Especially if you're a Studio One user that already has ARA. Not having a go at you as I fully recognise you don't represent Synchro Arts but I follow your channel and though I should point it out.

We had really good music back in the day even with the vocals not being in perfect sync. Same with pitch.

Mike, I see you're a vocalign 5 ultra user like me. Perhaps this was a sponsored video so you didn't mention it but pretty important to mention that Synchro Arts are offering NO upgrade path for vocal 5 ultra users to the equivalent vocalign 6 pro. In fact, there are only some very questionable additions over vocalign 5 ultra (smart pitch, darker GUI and process groups) all of which are solving problems that didn't exist. So of little value and the kind of thing you'd expect to be included for free given that vocalign 5 ultra wasn't a cheap bit of software. But no, if I (or you!) want to get these nominal features by upgrading to vocalign 6 Pro then we have to pay full whack. I can't even begin to express how poor this is from Synchro Arts and the *only* reason I care is because I'm obviously not going to be ripped off by paying for these so I'll stick with what I have. And that matters because it means my product isn't supported going forward and at some point I'll be left with a useless bit of expensive software. I will not be buying anything more from synchro arts, this kind of contempt for their customers is really shameful.

Again I’m going to follow your lead. Like @bigstewdio said. I’m also a vocalign ultra owner. And they offered me no discount or upgrade path to get vocalign 6. That makes no sense. But they’re offering me 33% discounts on repitch (which I don’t own, nor want). Just shitty and ridiculous on their part. I will continue to warn others on all their videos until they fix this. I will NOT be paying full price when their support page clearly states “if you own own vocalign ultra, you can upgrade”. Bullshit!

In the example I think the uncorrected version actually sounds better. The corrected version sounds too perfect and unrealistic. Of course, in other situations this could be a great tool.

I agree with your sentiment Charles. I guess I wanted to make the example easy to hear for the viewer. But it's definitely an artistic decision as to just how tight or loose you want it to be. In 'real life' I would probably have backed off the tightness somewhat.
