The issue with your demos is that you’re so talented in both playing and finding good tone, everything always sounds killer hahaha. Great as always though

He is incredibly good at dialing in a solid base tone in itself. It blows my mind.

The problem is the delay. Makes it hard to hear just the module.

I got the original SLO module and absolutely love it! Not long ago I also got the DRect module, and love that as well. Then I got the SLOII module, and to my ear it seems to be a little of both those modules. Not much tonal difference. The original SLO module is a bit more present in the upper mids, whereas the SLOII is a bit more present in the lower mids, like the DRect.

Video idea: Do you dial in your tone in QC/Plugins differently for each guitar? It would be quite useful to see the different approaches. Keep it up!

Had the seymour duncan modular in 88...graduated to the Randall/Egnater swappable preamps ...i like owning multiple tube amps best and messing around a little with modelers
@Utube-s8m4 ай бұрын
That’s me too. I have. worked my way up to a few great amps after yrs of cheap gear. Until I felt I deserved it and could afford it. But a great lunchbox amp has been the Egnater tweaked 15 head. Then u fool who the the quad. I think if synergy was out when I got these amps about 19 yrs ago I would’ve gone with them. Maintenance and weight if the amps and repair guys are expensive etc. it would just be easier with the modules. I wonder how they take pedals.
@Robstafarian4 ай бұрын
@@Utube-s8m Had the Egnater modules taken off, modelers may never have achieved their present status. Most home players just need a tube preamp and a good speaker simulator.

Wish you would mix in more songs that had more ambient noodling that ran for at least 4 min. Love all your stuff on Spotify but I could have listened to that cleaner bit towards the end with the baritone for a while

The question is: How much difference makes a difference? Around $1500 for a head or combo, plus $400 for a close copy of an original amp. Seems like a pretty good trade off.

Repair service is available, and the components are standard under the shield (which is mostly meant to separate curious fingers from high temperatures).

You are so pretty to look at! Really. You could’ve been a model. Great guitar playing as always! Interesting amp concept; I’m in the market for a new amp, although I’ve overspent these past three months, so I can’t pick one up tomorrow … but I’ll have to check this modular system out.

A boost. For your style, a Tubescreamer is probably gonna be up your alley, since it cuts so much low end and adds a ton of mids. Never been a fan of TS style pedals myself, but it's not my style. I like the Tube Driver, MXR custom '78 Badass, Koko Boost and DOD 250. They don't change you tone much, just kind of add harmonics and tighten up the bass without totally killing it.
@Robstafarian4 ай бұрын
If you never use your tone knob, just spend about $10 for a potentiometer and a capacitor to give yourself a bass cut.
