In music grades, this would be known as a second grade piano song. Second grade pianists should be able to play this. They should also be able to play für Elise. This doesn’t literally mean 2nd grade btw

It's an executable file programmed to play midi files, while allowing midi keyboard inputs to manipulate the sound output and a score to show how well a song is played.

you need a piano of some sort to play at all since its the instrument to play the song. but if you have a piano keyboard you can connect it to your computer which opens up more useful features on synthesia. all you have to do is put the .midi file into the synthesia music folder. or any folder you want and go to settings in synthesia and tell it to search that folder for music

@TelicNotionX / AnimeYoukai911 The majority of the songs in the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Game soundtracks are named "You." But there are those named "Dear You." So this song is called by both names. But from what I see, the versions sung by the voice actors are called "Dear You" and the versions that are made by Dai and its remixes are simply called "You." I'm seeing this information from the titles of the songs in the booklets of the Higurashi albums.

I self taught myself on playing the piano but I still can't play so well. I have a keyboard but it only has 61 keys so I can't many of the songs I want to "try." Fortunately, this song can and in about three weeks, I was able to play up to 2:07. Of course, that doesn't mean I practice everyday and I'm not a good pianist :P

this piece is actually pretty easy and i would recommend any beginners to try it out. it's pretty slow paced and the left hand is just a loop of the exact same thing over and over again (it changes once but then loops that)

The fingering for 2:12 - 2:14 was pretty tricky imo. I had major issues playing it for a while. Then again, I learned Pico's transcription of the song, so that part is a little bit different and easier imo. I'd say practice makes perfect. I kept at it every so often and I can play that part pretty well now. If you look at Pico's version in the video description, it has another variation of that part that you could probably try and learn.

Oh, those are tabs. Well, since someone else requested a video of this @ 50% speed, I'll post another video of this with a few extras thrown in. In the full version of Synthesia, there are a couple of extra options such as showing which key is what letter and such. I think that might be what you're looking for. On a side note, I first learned how to play the piano using sheet music. I never learned how to read tabs, yet. I know it's helpful when learning how to play the guitar though.
