it takes a lot of energy to get these machines going and happy and working together, never mind jamming out something with all three, and performing without mistakes and setting up camera shots plus providing technical explanations. HUGE amount of work and great synth tunes. respect.

This is a great song. I would listen to a full album of this. Here's his secret ingredient: he's actually a great PLAYER. Not only is he a programmer/gearhead/techhead, he is a good keys/piano player. He has a great sense of melody and harmony. (we also didn't see him woodshedding these ideas). A less secret ingredient: he's playing $15k worth of gear.

@@timetravelvictim the stuff on steaming services (spotify, iTunes, Amazon music, etc etc) is all a bit more post punk as I've only recently started embracing dance music, but this most recent song is sort of a crass sounding motion toward the unreleased stuff ive been working on. And even then, it's more synthpop and less dance-rock, but it's fun to be writing again kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqrZZmyZeZykoqM I wrote all of the synth parts on a yamaha pss480, with the drums being programmed on an alesis sr16 and artutia drumbrute.

You're right that the JP-8's unison lead sounds quite similar to 'Sounds Like a Melody', but I still wouldn't say it's identical and even the other parts of it still bang. So, let me explain: in addition to this doubled octave bass technique and the Lin drum beat, try adding some TB303 with an acid pattern line from the late 80's and let us find out how should it sound this combination.
