Ark: Oceanside Base - How To Build

This is the first water pen build on my channel. the water pen could be reduced in size or made larger if you need it to be. I didn't do any interior decorating for this build because I figured people would want to make it personal to them. A third of this video is building the base so if you like the look of the base only then you could just build that. I also sped up the video a fair bit at the end because it was just me placing a lot of pillars and I doubt that you will use the same amount of pillars where ever you chose to build the water pen. Sweet build Any chance for a build idea, I’d love to see a pen including both land and water for amphibious creatures specifically thinking of the kaprosuchus :) and preferably on the island map for easy replication?

There any smart people out there who can tell me how far apart the 2 foundations that link the water part are. I want to make the water bit but mix it with another house. Make something unique. Love the videos.Could you do another build like this but with one side being a water pen and the other being a land Dino pen. Maybe make it a bit less modern looking (no glass windows and the like). I love this build, I think it’s your best one and I’d like to see you improve the design even more.

I’m building this on my ps4 pve build. It’s one of my favorites that you do. The only problem I have (besides putting pillars first) is getting the ceiling to snap in front of the Dino gate that you do at the entrance. I improvised however. Thanks for the inspiration. Dinged and subbed. Well done

Make sure to change the structure collision option in the settings so that you can place things inside each other and for the dino gate you need fence foundations so that it snaps onto them. Also Thankyou much appreciated!!

Just tried building this 10+ times. Need perfectly flat land for this apparently holy sh**. Cannot get those pillars down by the front entrance for the life of me.

I did this half right next to the water, most beach's are flat

Start by putting pillar in half of a ceiling, then make a lower one but on the lowest snap point. Finish the pillar to the ground then remove top pillar - ta daaah, you're welcome ;) You should see hinterregions or captain fatdogs videos Best luck!

I dunno what is different about your game, but I cannot get fence foundations to snap to edges of foundations or between foundations and the regular stairs

Make sure you are using actual fence foundations and not fence supports

@@SypherSam I am. hey absolutely will not snap to the edge of a foundation. If I put another foundation such that I am putting the fence foundation in between, then they snap, but remove the extra foundation and they crumble. Are you using S+ or regular blocks?

Ok, it seems it is because I am using S+ blocks. I thought S+ was supposed to be 'better'...Not sure I see the advantage of them anymore. Tried it with normal blocks and it works.

Yea your “guide” on how to build is terrible.. maybe re-think how to make your videos… I tried following and nothing is working properly. You don’t explain what you are using or how, you just do it.. bad video

Not everyone needs their hand holding and plus this video is one of my earlier videos and I didn't have much experience in making videos. You can see the difference between then and now.
