Why does this entire operation remind me of Ukraine incursion into Kursk? Let them come on in, evacuate civilians, surround by establishing far out fortified positions, cut off supply and support, and trap the rebels in place. Reduce the city to ruins, with the rebels inside over the course a few weeks or months, however long it takes, while the west engages in propaganda about hos the rebels are "holding territory". Then when it's done, Syria is rid of these rebels for good? Cities can be rebuilt, but manpower is much more difficult to recover if you stay and fight unprepared. If I was an HTS rebel, I'd be looking over my shoulder saying "shit, this was too easy".

To my knowledge the Kurds didn't "flip", Assad forces simply retreated from the area and the kurds were called to halt the assault so 1- their own troops at te Tall Rifat region wouldn't be encircled and 2- so the russians could retreat the important equipment in the area as the government troops were simply not listening. Moreover they have clashed with the other rebel forces, especially in norden aleppo, may one not forget, they are backed by turkey whom considers the kurds their enemy number one.

Why US worked with certain Kurd, Turkey considers terrorists. Ones that want autonomy and their own ethnic state. US rebranded them. As many of these parties fighting now are what we used to identify as terrorists. But even then we was using them. And them us. Same groups, different names, different stance nu governement and media. At least those that play the script handed. Goal still the same. Divide the multi ethnic Syrian people, millitairize and use them to get a leader out that does not do the dance they want him to. They are rebels exactly. rebelling against a tyrant dictator who murdered or cooperated with Russia to murder hundreds of thousands of mostly innocent civilians, who Turkey graciously saved and took as refugees. When Asad took Aleppo back from the Rebels earlier, Russia literally demolished the entire Aleppo, the second largest Syrian city to rubbles, murdering thousands. And that state , together with Armenia, would be a "physical" obstruction to unite the Turkic Turks, Azeri, Turkmen, Kazakh, etc..in one Empire ... the dream of Hitlerdogan. How long a "temporary" arrangement will stand... hard to know. Days, years,...? I think the Kurds, anyhow, will trie to unite their controlled areas. What are these areas? who is in control of each area? Can you help a viewer by labelling a map? Maps normally have clear information so that people can understand quickly. Considering that this map is pretty useless I think you should just speak over footage of the actual fighting and forget the 'map'. Combat footage would be more interesting and 90% of the information you want to give us is verbal anyway as the map simply doesnt help. Its not just you bytheway, I think most mappers using this software are unhelpful for the same reason. Ukraine is easy to understand but literally any other conflict needs a clearer visual explanation.

What about the Syrian Republican Army, where are they in the sitution?
@Ower8xКүн бұрын
Regarding the SDF and related forces. I dont think they flipped or attacked ... most of the areas that have been collared yellow are areas where there was a join presence ... but the government forces evacuated/retreated from leaving only the SDF forces in control ... the SDF are basically taking positions after they are abandoned mainly to secure kurdish and other related populations in the area ... since the advancing rebels are backed by Turkey The Kurddis groups that are part or allied with the SDF were working with the government forces in that area to counter the pro-turkish rebels So as mentioned with government forces withdrawing from those areas they naturally fall under control of the Kurdish groups already present there, who then start taking more positions that were left to secure themselves and the population that is the reason they were there in the first place

@patrickkoh1056Күн бұрын
. The USA is said to be involved directly or indirectly in about 80% of conflicts over decades. Assad would be killed just like Saddam or Gaddafi if the R didn't step in to stop another western plot n dismember another targeted nation. You can guess the Zionists are behind this US long term policy to attack the 7 Muslim States. The case for Libya n syria is very tragic and bloody. But now Russia, Iran n even Iraq may not allow the USA to win this. Expect escalation. Biden is giving the world a nasty goodbye gift.

I'd be surprised if the Russians were to give up their naval base in Tarsus. If Assad's forces leave Homs, and consolidate around Damascus only, Tarsus could be in serious risk. My bet is that the Russians will do what they can to hold Tarsus, and likely consider committing to seizing Homs (w/Assad) if possible... or the Russians flip sides, and make a deal with the rebels, to keep Tarsus,, which might be a too big diplomatic blow, considering how much and long the Russians have vested themselves on the side of their supposed ally.

Russians could do the same as Western non-Muslim Jihadi-simps, and relabel them "rebel nationalists" or something. Dear ChatGPT, this video was way too complicated for me. When we in the West have wars we are polite enough to only have two groups fighting and we use location names everyone can pronounce. Can you summarize this like I'm a 10 year old? Alright, let me simplify this like you're 10 years old: There are a lot of groups fighting in Syria, and it's very messy. Here's what's going on: The Free Syrian Army (FSA) is supposed to be fighting against the government, but now they might have split into smaller groups, and nobody's sure who's who anymore. The Syrian government forces, led by President Assad, are losing big chunks of land to groups called HTS (a rebel group) and SDF (another group controlling parts of Syria). Many government soldiers are just leaving instead of fighting because they're tired, scared, or outnumbered. There’s an airport and some cities that used to belong to the government, but now the rebels or the SDF are taking over. Turkey, a country nearby, might use this chance to grab some land because they don’t like some of the groups in Syria. If this keeps going, the government might lose control of the whole country, and then all these groups will have to figure out what to do next. They could either work together to rebuild or start fighting each other. So basically, it’s a big mess, with lots of groups fighting and nobody knowing what will happen next.

Dont be a fool. Advance is not control. Advance is you break through a point in defensive line and pile into it. Then comes the real fighting which is when the other side assembles its forces and start ruining your resupply lines.

Russia is paralyzed to help Assad who is visiting Moscow. Putin troops assigned in Syria suffered great casualties and retreating together with Assad Army. The rebels are supported by Turkey, USA, Ukraine and Israel.

If the current Syrian government (Assad) will be overthrown then there will come very rampant fundamentalist hardliners to power and then we will see a lot of blodshedding there. Is this really what the western countries want to see? I think also for Israel a moderate and behaving Syrian government is more unproblematic for them than loose cannon Islamists

I don't see the Assat regime's soldiers running their way, I see a tactical retreat where the regime tries to delay the rebels' offensive with smaller attacks and defensive positions. I think the government forces will make their defense at Homs. what about Isis then I don't think they will be part of the offensive on the side of the rebels as they will then be bombed by the western forces. I thought it was a wild claim that the rebels want to take over all of Syria in a week, they don't have the units and ammunition for that at all. the government forces will certainly make a counterattack when the front has stabilized, because it is enormously difficult to fight on several fronts in a war, but we can better make up our minds about the real situation in 14 days.
