Is it normal that i find a different answer when i'm eliminating another variable? For example for the first one i got x= 5/3, y= 5/3 and z= 14/3 by eliminating first x

You should always get the same answer regardless of which variable you choose to start with…maybe check your work again for an arithmetic error.

Good question…I often see students make mistakes when subtracting especially when there are negative numbers which is why I often just show the adding method.
