Honestly, my Grandma (1904-2008), was a damn good cook. She worked in country kitchens until she was 80 (lived to be 103). I don't think there was anything she couldn't cook. Homemade donuts, homemade bread, fried chicken that would put Colonel Saunders to shame, homemade pies of any type (my favorite was "shoo fly pie"), this chili dish where she would bake the chili with cornbread mix on top, Dutch style pot pie with homemade egg noodles, cookies, cakes, brownies, apple crisps, the list goes on. She never had recipe cards or a cookbook. She did it all by memory and experience. I would put her against any "TV Chef" and bet every last penny that she out cooks them!

All the grass and trees are going to have a very rough next few months after all that wine. 600,000 gallons is bigger than local storms.
@singingwolf3929 Жыл бұрын
With the wine there is another factor. Drunk animals. I know from first hand experience that critters like squirrels, chipmunks, birds, deer, dogs, and rabbits will not hesitate to drink that wine. We had a friend bring their attempts of homemade wine of to see if any of it was good and most of it got dumped out in the driveway. Then animal shenanigans ensued.

My father (I'm 58) watched the French Chef and learned the basics and taught me. You guys are amusing and I like watching actual recipes. I really dislike all the "contests" on Food Network. If the box of mystery food were things people might actually have in their kitchen at the end of the month, that might be interesting, but most of the things are not stuff I can even find easily at my grocery.

Don't worry chef Brian & chef frenchie I'll be bringing a more than generous & shockingly pleasant surprise for the both of you aswell as some cigars for Brian to celebrate his fatherhood on round 2. Sadly, the MSG 'myth' still exists. You nailed it, it's not the MSG it's the overeating things WITH MSG. Though 'allergies' to it do exist, some doctors still haven't caught up yet. Neighbour is 'allergic' to tomatoes and mushrooms, he was over one day and refused a few snacks that would make him ill (I didn't know before offering). All were things with MSG. Through another doc, he now has the true diagnosis of MSG sensitivity.

I was at a Brazilian steakhouse with my woman and ordered a shot of Macallan 25. The server (who was also the bartender because it was slow) came back and said, "Unfortunately, we're out of 25 so i gave you 30 for the price of 25." It was very tasty and he definitely poured it heavy for a single shot. He definitely got tipped well that night. But, my favorite is still probably Balvenie Doublewood 12.

I’m not sure if they’ve done a specific French episode of British Bake Off, but given the importance of French pastries in European culture they do tons of French stuff. And they CONSTANTLY butcher all the French words despite living next to France. You guys should do reacts but only if you can get a good episode or a compilation or something.

You know you’re BFFs when Brian says he wants to “share a Dickens Cider” with Frenchie’s wife (he’s visibly upset for an instant and could snap) but he immediately plays along and says “room for one” and moves along, but then a minute later tells Brian he likes it “both ways”. If you’re not bros you could get into a fight. EASILY. I enjoy their relationship and wish they keep this going. GO BRENCHIE!

Apparently there's a parody band called The Feastie Boys out there. BUT since you guys are in a different niche copyright and trademark shouldn't be an issue (since you're not a parody band and trademarks are typically niche/business specific). You might want to look into a lawyer first before making any merch, though, since if they (or anyone else) has merch trademarks THAT could be an issue. I'm not a lawyer, so definitely talk to one since rules change a lot and I may be going off of outdated info. And if you're sold on Feastie Boys (and why wouldn't you be since it's an awesome name) maybe consider registering the trademark if you can for your purposes while you have the lawyer there. Fingers crossed you guys can keep Feastie Boys (or even change it up to Feasty Boyzz or something JUST in case lol). I love the name!

I really enjoyed the restaurant visit. Wonderful little places that have been making fantastic food need a good shoutout. I also would love to see both of you reacting to Great British Bake-Off ethnic cuisine episodes. They are truly train wrecks, and deserve to be called out. Sorted food has a couple of segments where they each bring in food to share or create for the others. Also trademark only matters if you are actually using it in business and I don't believe you could functionally trademark a genre of food. From what I remember copyright on food is odd. I could easily see a mole' crossed with a demiglace.

I am 2 months late, but as someone that has been exploring whiskey for a few years here's what I think went on. The bartender saw that they were drinking Scotch (40-43% ABV typically Dalwhinnie 15 is 46%) decided to take some Bourbon to make them...'Merica drinkers and grabbed something that was 50% or higher. Easy to do with something as cheap as Evan Williams Bonded as Bonded must be 100 proof (50% ABV).

I know it's crazy, some random guy on the Internet says claims the entire medical industry is wrong about allergies being caused by antigen presenting proteins, and claims to be able to eliminate them for free; but if I ever make the 23 hour drive out east again, I'd love to fix your MSG sensitivity for you guys! By the way, the reasoning behind tryptophan making you sleepy is because tryptophan is metabolized in to 5HTP then to Serotonin, and serotonin is converted in to melatonin in the pineal gland to help regulate sleep cycles. The real reason for getting sleepy is you activate your parasympathetic nervous system(rest and digest) after eating and tend to shut down your sympathetic. (fight or fight, but also energy in general. They are the energy and rest. The yin and yang in Chinese medicine)
