Super. I grew up about ten miles away from Mack, Colorado, where the Uintah Railway ran. Although I never got to see the railroad operate, I have hiked the area and I did get to see one of their two articulated locomotives get its water tanks removed and have a tender added and get sent out to a railroad for operation. Hello from the Tracy Mountain Railway in Colorado, and yes, Uintah fans, Ihave a section of track with 66° curves and 7.5% grade, up to my fiddle yard and sugar mill. 💙 T.E.N.

P.S. Some of the interchange yard to the D&RGW was three rail. 💙 T.E.N.

I just found this video. I live in Vernal UT. Ive driven over that route many times. I like your rendering of Atchee at 3:44 and Baxter pass at 5:43. Lake Andrews at 7:50 was cool to see too. The Dragon railroad was truly an incredible feat for the time. Artifacts such as tie plates and spikes can still be found up in there. I've visited the old ghost towns of Dragon (9:54), Rainbow, (turn-off at 11:02) and Watson (11:06) many times. (If memory serves me well) Overall, this was a great video.

Very cool video! I live in Grand Junction and have driven that route (or parts of it) many times. Definitely a spot on rendition.

Would help if the names of places like Atchee, Dragon, Moro Curve, Rainbow, etc were faded in and out to give a better idea of where you are in the "Gilsonite Route."
