Authentic Kerala Dishes With My Personal Touch 😍
Ingredients
Gooseberry -1/2 kg
Jaggery - 1/2 kg
Water -1/2 cup or accordingly
Salt -pinch
Lemon juice -1tbsp (opt)
Method
Take 25 gooseberry and wash it and dry it . steam the gooseberries until light brown. Steam for 3 mins. Again dry it with a towel. Now make jaggery syrup. When we can see the bubbles on top of the jaggery syrup, remove the white foam on top. Add the gooseberries. Again cook this with the lid on. After 10 mins of cooking add lemon juice. Stir ocassionally and cook for 30 - 40 mins. Don’t let the jaggery syrup burn. Add a pinch of salt. Adjust the consistency with some hot water. The water should be evaporated well. Store in glass jar.
