Great information Lisa! I am new to MBA… now I am at tier 25 ( after being at 10 for a month even after I sold 10 shirts). I can only upload one design a day. If you have time could you tell mention why only one design upload a day? Also, I an designing and uploading on my iPhone… I can’t get rid of that rectangle shape in back of my design ( I have a background removal app… ). Could you demonstrate how to remove the black rectangle? Thank you in advance.
@LisaIrby3 жыл бұрын
Amazon put limits in place about 3 years ago due help with processing time issues. When everyone could upload unlimited amounts there was a lot of bottleneck issues with the uploads. So they now limit your uploads by tier. I don't use my phone to upload so I'm not sure why the background removal app doesn't work. Are you making sure you are starting with a transparent background when creating? That way you won't have to remove anything.

Just saw this video of yours. I did because I searched for Redbubble keyword stuffing problem. I am glad I am not the only person who is sick and tired of finding keyword searches to come up with a page with nothing on it having to do with the keyword. I have a question for you Lisa. Do you think because of this frustration by buyers that people are getting turned off by buying on Redbubble? I am hearing that people are clicking away when they can't find what they are looking for. This I think will hurt Redbubble a lot. It seems to get worse everyday. I guess my over all question is , is it still viable to list on Redbubble or is there a better platform that you would consider is better for interaction from the buyers stand point of view?

I have never liked the RB shop layout. Sites like Etsy and Zazzle do a much better job. The reason it's not a priority is most sales come from their email and search....not shops. That's probably why they don't put much of an effort into making the layout logical. I still like them though and get sales daily. If shop layout is a major issue, I'd definitely look elsewhere. But if you get most of your sales from search, the layout won't matter as much.

Hi Lisa , hope you are well. Just a random website building question . Does having Adsense up on one’s website still generate good income ? Or does that method not work anymore because people got too smart now to click on ads?
@LisaIrby3 жыл бұрын
It sure does. The trickier part is driving traffic to sites to make worthwhile income is much, much harder than when I used to teach it. Also, people don't browse websites the way they used to. The average person views one page and they're gone. So it's a lot harder to make worthwhile income doing this.

Redbubble suspended my account. Tried to find out why and they gave me the standard answers, didn't show me WHAT design was flagged... nothing. What is the second-best POD place? My work is original and not copyrighted material.
@LisaIrby3 жыл бұрын
If you were selling well on RedBubble, TeePublic is probably your next bet. Look into Society6 as well if your art is very artistic. "Best" is relative. It's all about "Does your art match what sells on that site?"
@pythonjava62283 жыл бұрын
I think keyword stuffing is a much worse problem on red bubble than tag spamming. It makes it so hard to rank especially if the keyword starts trending
@LisaIrby3 жыл бұрын
When I say tag spamming, I'm basically referring to keyword stuffing. In other words, stuffing the listing with a bunch of irrelevant phrases that don't relate to the design.
@patjohnson84503 жыл бұрын
Hey Lisa, is it worth going into TeePublic? I hear conflicting stories that it's hard to get your products shown unless you have a certain number of uploads and certain settings on your profile. Not sure if that's true or not. And can you use your same designs you use on Merch and other platforms on TeePublic?
@LisaIrby3 жыл бұрын
I think something has changed recently for newer accounts. I've heard a lot of people say their designs won't show in the marketplace based on the "type of content" according to TeePublic support. I've personally never had a problem getting my designs ranked. Not sure what the criteria is.

Hi Lisa, thanks for the great videos. One question, if I may. I'm a bit stuck in MBA, tier 25, would you say its best to swap and change designs when slots are full or leave them and hope for the best, you say they have more chance to rank over time as amazon rotates designs? Not sure if I am missing chances of getting ranked if I swap them out for other designs all the time? Thank You Lisa...🙂👍
@blackkitt983 жыл бұрын
Definitely swap out your designs or you may wait forever. Never delete anything that has sold. Save title, bullet points, etc., in a document or spreadsheet so you can re-upload easily when you have more slots. Go after trends. If you see something trending on Twitter or the news (that is safe to use - not trademarked or infringing on a movie, etc.), make a design right away. I started MBA 11 months ago and was eligible for Tier 2000 in about three months. Unfortunately, AZ didn't give tier ups during the holidays so I had to wait until January but I'm Tier 6000 now. In Tier 10 I swapped out designs every week or so. Many of them have since sold when I re-uploaded them later on. I hope this helps!

Hi Lisa, I've been watching your videos 2yrs ago i want to thank you and ask you why you stopped mentioning Spreadshirt, is it not worth it nowadays ?
@LisaIrby3 жыл бұрын
Hey Ysf B. Good question. It's because I stopped uploading there for the most part. I still earn something every month, but the income I earn is just not worth the time. When they redesigned their site and changed commissions and rules, I noticed a significant drop in sales. I would never say it's not worth it, though. I bet many people are still doing well there. I'm always careful to say NOT to upload somewhere because so much depends on the niche and designs. I always hate it when people say X is a waste of time because that's usually relative to their experience, ya know?

Teepublic is a fool! It looks like they don’t allow you to use designs that you purchased with POD license or sell it for commercial use which I have and they deleted the account. WTF.
@LisaIrby3 жыл бұрын
I think they are trying to cut down on duplicate content. Some people spam the site by uploading the same images and I believe they are trying to stop that. However, just deleting an account is not cool...especially if you add more content to the design you purchased. Ever since POD blew up, they've gotten very picky.
