Axle seal leaking ?

The axle seal wasn’t leaking. This unit is owned by my uncle and he likes to do maintenance. Unfortunately, he lubricated the brake pads.

what type of oil would you use in the ew-36 scooter, and what amount?

Really . I have invader scooter or as its know elsewhere boomer 2D . They cleaned the disks like this 3 hours later back to squeaking. Cleaning it is a temporary fix long enough for you to sign and say its fixed when really it isn't.

Thanks for sharing. However, when you stated you torqued the axle nut to 50 P.S.I. with the torque wrench you probably meant to say you torqued the axle nut to 50 Foot Pounds. It's 50 foot pounds of force torque not 50 P.S.I. as you stated in the video. (A pound-foot is a unit of torque representing one pound of force acting at a perpendicular distance of one foot from a pivot point. Conversely one pound-foot is the moment about an axis that applies one pound-force at a radius of one foot) P.S.I. is a unit of pressure expressed in pounds of force per square inch of area. It stands for Pounds per Square Inch. P.S.I. is commonly used to measure the pressure of gasses (pneumatic pressure) or liquids (hydraulic pressure). In pneumatic and hydraulic pressure, P.S.I. expresses the force exerted on its containing vessel by the two relative fluids. In fluid pressure measurement, the use of P.S.I. is generally relative to atmosphere. This is because P.S.I. as measured by P.S.I. gauge (P.S.I.G.) is inherently measured as a differential balance against atmospheric pressure, generally being immersed in it. P.S.I. measurement may also be absolute: relative to a vacuum or P.S.I. absolute (P.S.I.A.). P.S.I. is used to measure tensile strength in materials where thousands of P.S.I. (K.P.S.I.) are common and to measure elastic modulus of materials where millions of P.S.I. (M.P.S.I.) are common. Gauges measuring pressure are used in all manner of instrumentation for vehicles, pneumatic and hydraulic machines, as well as industrial and safety systems. In compressed air power, a P.S.I. gauge is the equivalent to a fuel gauge.

you are right i should not have used psi i knew it after it came out of my mouth but this was a one shot video and i missed it in editing thank you for the correction Ray

@@dadgarage7966 You are correct Sometimes I go back and watch the video and I’m like did I really say that Editing helps a little bit but there’s still things it slipped through Thank you for actually watching and paying attention And thank you for taking the time to comment Ray

@Peter Hicks You make a few good points about the non-heat treated parts Also low quality friction bearings is also a big deal Ideally like you mentioned a wet sump would be the best and I do understand that it could cause leaks but if you saw a leak you know there’s a problem I would also rather see a pressurized Grease System Put all of these solutions are more expensive and they’re just trying to produce these as cheap and fast as possible

Ok let ME break it down 🤭🤭..Since I was once a motor buke mechanic PSI COULD be misconstrued as either pressure or pounds BUT as old matie stated a TORQUE WRENCH using AIR PRESSURE instead of POUND PRESSURE yer easily misaid BUT still your ment to be a qualified scooter mechanic 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.. that's one for the ages Well spotted young fela
