I used to do a Shaun T workout where he did standard pushups x20 reps, rest for 10 secs, then a plank for 1 min - rest for 30 secs. All of that x10 -- so, 200 total push ups and 10 planks. Did that one at least once a week sometimes twice for several years. Injured my left shoulder (and my right one is not good either -- years of lifting too heavy), so haven't done that in awhile. This is a great workout that's not necessarily easier (less reps) just different. I like the plank variations. I had the modify for the archer pushups. Creative -- thanks Dan!

We are working on a new program now that focuses on building muscle. I think you'll like it. As for your body type, to gain muscle and size it really comes down to your nutrition. You need to eat more to gain more. If you are skinny now and don't change your eating habits, then it's incredibly difficult and almost impossible to add size. I would begin with eating an extra 500 calories or so each day while continuing to train 3-5x per week to convert that extra energy into muscle. You will need to be in a caloric surplus for a significant amount of time to see results. I'm talking years. Be patient and make adjustments as needed over time, but consistency will be key if you want to truly put on more muscle mass.

Thanks for following along. I'm glad you're enjoying the workouts! When it comes to reducing fat you need to focus on your nutrition, specifically being in a caloric deficit. Exercise and strength training will help you build muscle and burn calories, but nutrition is where you'll see the biggest changes in your body.
