I've just experienced a wonderful day trip to Tabarca Island, Spain: A place that surprised me and a real budget-friendly getaway too if you plan ahead!.
I also had an Alfred Hitchcock moment near the end of the video....I survived lol.
Tabarca Island is a small, inhabited island located off the coast of Alicante, Spain. It is a popular day trip destination for tourists and locals alike, and for good reason. The island is home to stunning beaches, clear waters, and a rich history.
There are many things to do on the Island. You can swim, sunbathe, snorkel, dive, or simply relax on the beach or just ramble around like me. There are also plenty of restaurants and bars on the island, where you can enjoy fresh seafood and local wines.

That was a great video, I'll not bother venturing into the birds territory though. How far do you think you walked?

Glad you enjoyed it. It's not a big walk, I would have walked around 5km. The island is only about 1.8km in length, but I did a bit of zigzagging! I wasn't really aware that I was venturing into bird territory because they were all over the island but in hindsight, the increasing noise was a warning. Lesson learned. I have since learned it was a nesting area.
