Hi Tabitha, what a lovely lady you are. It’s so refreshing to find a professional hairdresser with the same fine hair problems. First I’d like to thank you for your tips on highlighting, the last time I had it done I noticed loads of hair breakage afterwards and I still am, so next time I have it done again I shall ask my hairdresser to use the wella plex treatment if she can get it. The question I’d like to ask today is what styling brush you would recommend to help prevent hair breakage. I’ve noticed so much hair in my round styling brush after styling even though I try to be gentle, it pains me to see it, I often think those nylon prongs in the brushes are much too harsh on fine hair, but don’t know what to use to still get some body in my hair. I’ve recently been reading about boar bristle brushes,, they’re meant to be more gentle and help with oil distributions also ,so make hair shine. What hair styling brush would you recommend please.. I live in the uk so I’d appreciate something I can get here or from Amazon, unfortunately I can’t get to you ☹️ and I can’t buy the xtc hair products you recommend either in Uk. I’m using Philip Kingsley shampoos which I hope are as good a range as the products you sell.. thank you so much for all your useful videos. Many thanks Lynne.💐

Hi Lynne, Thank you for your kind words. For me boar bristle brushes pull my hair but I think the key it getting a round brush where the hair slides easily through & does not pull. The other key is to make sure your blow dryer is on low or warm heat because most round brushes have a metal core that heats up. So if you are using hot heat & the round brush is heating up... That's not a good combo for fine hair. 😉

I like Moroccan oil dark for my hair. Just remember to not leave on longer than 2days and wash twice. 😉

@@tabithafhair Yikes! I never knew either of these tips. Discovering dry shampoo to help boost my hair and extend time between washing and styling was a game changer, but I didn’t know I needed to be careful with it. What is the reasoning behind your suggestions? Your videos are fantastic, thank you.

Does your hair not get greasy only washing twice a week? Dry shampoo clogs the follicle which is the last thing thin hair needs. All the nourishment and heat protection is a waste if you don’t start with care at the root.

My hair does not get greasy so I am really lucky but every ones scalp is different. I agree with you on the dry shampoo. Days & Days of dry shampoo on your scalp is not good for the hair follicles.

Thanks for the reply! I love Living Proof products as well and using that quality haircare has a lot to do with being able to make time in between shampoos last longer. Is it best to dry fine/thin without the concentrator on the dryer?
@tabithafhair5 жыл бұрын
The concentrator helps to not blow all the other hair around, but it is up to you. Sometimes it can take awhile to get used to it. Just make sure you are drying on warm or cool ( my "cool" on my dryer is still pretty warm to me) It all depends on your dryer. Just keep it off of hot.😉

TabithaFHair I have an Elchim and that sucker will sting if it hits my scalp! I made the mistake one time and it really scared me for a moment. I’ve been playing with hot rollers lately and they fake a blow out pretty good.
