I miss the old Shock Att Gun in 4th or 5th that when you roll double 1 to determine what happens, the Mek got sucked in the gun and got ported on the target in melee. It counted as a charge

What you're trying to referebce is call a 'Madeleine de Proust' I think which references a common thing (action, food, sent etc...) that triggers a very precise memory (mostly use to describe pleasent memory)

@@joshharasty838tbf, they did just go back to top tier recently. The nerfs were deserved, but some of the stuff in the codex were kinda less reasonable. Like the loss of Trajann's ignore damage modifiers is gonna be rough against specifically Necrons because C'tan lists having that halves all damage is gonna REALLY hurt them as one of the few solid infantry solutions against mutiple C'tan lists. Loss of Fights First is okay, especially on Trajann for free. The Null Maidens detachment vs Talons of the Emperor kinda makes Null Maidens pointless because there's not enough in the codex to have a playable sisters army at 2k, it's already really expensive to get 1k worth of Sisters. Auric Champions we'll see bc of how centered it is on specifically buffing a character. Shield Host and Talons so far seems to have the best overall stuff, with balance between general offense and defense stuff, as well as Talons having a lot more mobility with a 6" reactive move on Battle Tactic. So like TLDR: Some of the nerfs were deserved, some less do, and there's an entire relatively pointless detachment in an army which kinda wastes a page. Like sure, other armies had stuff focusing on niche units, but like there's a difference between Necrons having all Destroyers army vs a Custodes all Sisters army in both variety and ppm

at 59:54 he rolls for the blade champ and rolls 3 1s to wound. the Blade Champ is attached to custodian guard, who re-roll 1s to wound for the unit. Wouldn't the blade champ in that instance also gain the benefit of that rule, since he is a model within the unit?

how do you get cover to keep your save to a 2+ with meganobz turn 1? cover applies but only to max save of 3, so orktempt would of had to been used to make it to a 2+ save

You're missing the second part of the max save of 3. The full rule is: "Does not apply to models with a save of 3+ or better against attacks with an AP of 0. So as soon as there is AP on the attacking weapon, cover will apply.

For those who don’t know, Bubblechukkas shoot unstable force fields and make said force fields go critical in the middle of enemy formations. It’s one of the most unique weapons da orkz have.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but you roll for the profile on the Bubblechukkas BEFORE you select a unit to attack, rather than selecting a unit then rolling the profile, very handy for the Mek Gunz because they get their bonus against units at starting strength.
