I have an extra video this week, as I wanted to have a potter in the garden. I have some ivy growing on my wall, and I wanted to tidy it up, I also planted some bulbs in the flower bed.

Ivy update 🪴🥰 so, this weekend my friends dad tidied it all up for me. Definitely glad I got some help. He used a hedge trimmers to clip it back to the top of the wall. ( and a saw on some tougher parts) The other side of the wall is wild/woodland ( perfect for nature ) and it doesn’t belong to a neighbour. Take care tackling your Ivy as I know it can easily break fences. Like all things in nature, balance is key. So happy you enjoyed this extra video this week. I wish you all a great week ahead ❤️

I too have been tackling clean-up in my yard this winter bit by bit to make spring clean-up so much easier, and as well as you said, it has kept me sane and my Fitbit happy....LOL. Here in our area (eastern Canada) we have ivy, and it too can be a tough opponent, but in the right application and home it is beautiful. So glad you said that it is ok to ask for help, many of us (especially women) think it's not ok...one of the biggest lessons in life I have had is that - I am strong, independent and smart and I know my limits in all areas, therefore I work smart not hard and get help with projects I know are beyond my limits. I also get help sometimes when I just don't want to do the dirty work...LOL.

I was only looking at my ivy today and thinking that's it I'm ripping it down (previous owner planted it) Im sick of it. Last summer I had gotten half of it done when my neighbour marched out and got really snarky about it and that she loved how it looked on her side..I'm like well plant it yer self! Yes, free therapy yesterday in the garden between thunderstorms.. I cried when I saw the news last week. I think we’ve all had enough. Hubby bought me an Apple Watch for my birthday (mainly for the fall feature, he worries when I’m out in the garden for too long). Catherine, bulbs are like chocolate, never too much! My dad was always after the ivy! He said it would destroy the brick and mortar. So, I am now the ivy destroyer! Try cutting at the root, then you can pull it off. Wear gloves! 💝 pray for peace, everyone, everywhere! 💝

I feel your pain when it comes to ivy. It's so tough and needs a range of tools. I was in awe of my elderly neighbour who patiently worked the length of our fence snip snipping away at the ivy until it was gone. I was getting frustrated hacking away at it by myself. He was a sweetheart.

Catherine, I so feel your pain when it comes to your height. I'm 5 feet tall and the older I get the more I realize how much more energy I have to expend than taller people to accomplish things. I. Agree with previous sentiments, definitely not tone deaf. I spent the weekend hanging curtains in our home and adding some better lightbulbs . Where there is light, darkness does not exist. We adore you for this reason, you bring such light! Glad your garden survived the storms, hopefully it is an omen of the rest of the world. Except your cleanup reminded me I had to blow the leaves out of our front yard.

Hope your Mum is doing well. It's hard worrying about our nearest and dearest and the wider world too. My husband just had a new heart valve installed on Wednesday so your video is a nice change from anxiety. Too cold yet where I am, our spring is at the back end of May.
