Good info! Riding this weekend I noticed the Engine light flashing and didn’t know why. Now I realize I must have bumped the starter button! Didn’t even know about the Traction Control feature of the Vortex.

Hey I know this is sort of off topic but when I do a get ecu tps calibration on a ktm sxf 450 should we back the idle screw off to absolute 0 on the butterfly? Then when I go back to my idle setting my raw value is above my min value?

@@TACOMOTOCO ok and is there any way how to do that ? My bike is dying on idle or when I hit throttle. Guys in service checked valves, changed spark plug and cleaned filter with pump. Nothing helped... :( So I think, this maybe will be good try...
@MXKID342 жыл бұрын
@@PítrRepeater Did you get your idle figured out? You do have the idle adjuster screw under your tank, it's Yellow, make sure to set your idle to 1700-1800, manual states 1800, for me that was too high so I'm at 1700 and it runs perfect, I do have the Vortex ECU and the Yosh exhaust.

@@MXKID34 Hi, not yet. I was in Honda dealer service, they added fuel with that yellow wheel on throttle body as you mentioned. Bike was running actually ritcher and was faster. A lot faster. first of all, I was thinking, that guys in Honda service changed my ECU for US specification with bigger air intake tube :D. However, after 200 kilometers, issue is back and much worst. Previously bike was able to run on choke. Now even with choke is dying... I am lost. I am waiting for next appointment in service to figure this issue out... :(
@MXKID342 жыл бұрын
@@PítrRepeater So sorry to hear that, you've got something internal as that obviously shouldn't be happening. I've never used the choke on my bike, but then again I'm in California. My friend has the same year bike as mine and he uses his choke to start his so no 2 bikes are the same. Is your bike a Euro model? If so, they're definitely choked up as I watched a girl in Asia change out the Euro intake boot to the American one, her bike now runs as it should. I'd definitely do the air box mod, meaning, take off the cover, remove the mesh screen and replace the stock air filter with a Twin Air, let your bike breathe and who knows, maybe that's the issue, bike just isn't getting sufficent air intake? Replace the fuel pump or filter, if choke is on that forces more fuel but if your bike isn't starting sounds like you're not getting enough if any fuel. What does your spark plug look like? Have you or they checked spark? Do you hear the fuel pump come on when you turn the key on? Justting spitting ideas here in hopes something with click?

I bought a used 2019 crf450l with vortex and yosi already installed, it’s set @ 5 5 5 1, it runs very well, almost to much of a hit sometimes on the trails, I changed the #1 setting to #2 haven’t tried it yet, but will this week, I didn’t know about this traction control mode, or the TPS settings. I didn’t get any paperwork with it, but did print off the page that shows the difference maps. How do I get the rest of the manual for the vortex ecu, sounds like it does a lot more than I know about. Thanks

Hi , I tried to do this, for TPS, on my 2019 CRF450L, but it doesn't work, the fuel pump always turns on! Maybe it's not possible on a 2019? I live in France, the vortex is the same everywhere I think . Thanks for your help.

Is that Vortex instruction, or something you came up with? Does that model even have end point set up, I thought Vortex did away with it? The last time I talked to Norman at Vortex, he told me end point set up wasnt really needed as long as tps is in range, but it was on a differnt model. That actually made for the end point set up procedure , when bikes would turn over correctly using that end point procedure they created for that particular model. Seems a good thing to know, if can avoid digging at the wires, or why not just disconnect the fuel pump, and do the procedure? Have you been able to confirm your procedure actually does anything? verses just plugging the vortex is with correct tps range and run it.
