Fr i liked cell the best but the art in the buu ark is peak dbz art
Personal taste wise I believe his artwork/style looked its best in the first broly movie, mainly becuz I'm a sucker for muscles, alot of the main fighters in the movie (besides gohan) were ABSOLUTELY JACKED, but that is probably becuz im both a fan of dbz and american comics, but his artwork in the buu saga wasn't bad tho, definitely one of the greats at that time.

The absolute legend in his prime. Yamamuro was one of my inspirations to keep advancing in drawing around 6 years ago. I think my favorite piece of his is when Gohan defeated the last Cell Jr. and then he told Trunks to pass out Senzu beans to the Z Fighters. He was looking up at Cell and had this look and body language that radiated that quiet rage. Thank you for yet another breakdown! :D

I have screenshots of those frames for study. The linework is so clean and refined, peak character design that was also reused in the Bojack movie. Love how they drew trunks there, a character with strong contrast in hairstyle when transforming.

It's something that I like yk, just more depth with clothes and stuff, and yamamuro just corrected it out. I doubt old age has as much a part as some people think considering the move to a stiffer style of shading, less defined faces and an increase in highlights all started to appear in his work throughout GT. I think the reason there has been a consistent downgrade is in part to do with sticking to one series and not branching out.
