I remember watching this as a kid. The big Art Attacks at the end where Neil would use a tub of salt (Garlic Powder in this case), would cause my Dad to make comments like "How does one tub of salt last this man that long!" and "We need to shop wherever he does!" 😂

It's always exciting to see Neil. His contribution to television is underrated. There's an entire video of monster based clips. The horror hanger featured in it, too. I wonder if the horror hanger segment makes people feel like something's not right, taken from the series when Neil didn't have his classic red sweater with the logo in the middle, but the short lived shirt with the logo on the pocket. My sister would probably have given that one a go, she's the arty one. Drawing is what I felt more confident in doing, than crafts. But the great thing about Neil's style was he made it so it always looked possible no matter what your ability. As he once put it at the end of one series: "You don't have to be a good artist, to be a good artist." Legend. The show did take a lot of prep, with multiple variations on the steps made ("...you'll have something that looks like that.") and different designs for the finished product ("Try it yourself!"). This is on top of doing the Big Art Attacks, both in studio and on location, which would take a long time to make, as he'd have to stop and check he's doing it right on the overhead angle several times. Then there were the international versions with hosts recording their links in the same studio to be edited around the footage of Neil making the things. And he was producer as well as host. Again, he's underrated. 13:36 Cameo for Terror Towers. A game show from the time made by Neil's company set in a spooky mansion. Neil didn't present that one, he was the producer. One of his 'team', Steve Johnson, hosted.

Regarding the Big picture segments, what they don't show is during filming he would go and look at the monitor of the overhead camera to track his progress, nevertheless they were really well done regardless

If you’re looking for something else spooky-related from CITV, I recommend ‘It’s a Mystery’ where Neil Buchanan was one of the co-hosts which talks about strange phenomena both explained and unexplained. Another one is ‘Terror Towers’ which was referenced in the dripping letter effects in this show. It was a horror-themed kids game show set in a haunted house. Both of these were favourites of mine growing up in the 90s.

This is the guy who people think is actual Bansky. Bansky was first active in the 90’s, and some of his work was near where art attack was filming at the time…

Neil hosted a 3rd show on CITV called It's a Mystery "which he co hosted with various other presenters" featuring stories about UFOs, Ghosts & other unusual happenings. It was spooky but good to watch.

I was born in 89 and remember this show with absolute fondness. I tried a few of these at home back in the day a hyperactive child with two dogs pva glue and cotton wool do not an art make. I rekon there's still a place on kids tv for this he is a very talented man and didn't turn out to be a creep. That's rare enough these days Jamie remembers the Dracula art from 1998 . Great show ..wonderful reaction as always .. Much love

Here's a thought, if you like Art Attack, maybe you could try it yourself. Make one of his art projects and show us how you did? You said you'd watch it regularly if they brought it back but it has soooo many episodes, you don't need to bring a show back to enjoy it. When I was a child I was familiar with Tony Heart's Hartbeat, Art Attack and SMart. But for me, the 2 best British art programmes were Bitsa and Rolf's Cartoon Club. I highly recommend these for one of your videos. Bitsa was a show that showed kids how to build toys and novelty items out of toilet rolls and detergent bottles. As well as having a lot of energy, colour and cartoon-like humour. Somehow it's been called "one of the forgotten shows of the 90s" Rolf's Cartoon Club was a show that taught kids the art form of animation, it's techniques and power to convey feelings and make people smile. Although I should warn you the host, Rolf Harris, has had a serious fall from grace since then. On a Bill Cosby level.

In answer to your question about the CITV logo, the one you see in the top corner was used during the 90's which is when this episode first aired so it's most likely this is the original broadcast.👻

I love this but I am also jealous at same time. Best I can do is stick people but what Neil can do is amazing, love Dracula drawing. That was spookily good see what I did there lol. Hopefully we see more in future.

Great to see another Art Attack reaction! I totally agree, there will always be a place for a show like Art Attack! The big picture of Dracula is a big favourite among fans! I know I've said this on other videos, but I seriously recommend reacting to other Christmas episodes - the one you saw last year really wasn't one of the best. The 1994 one is possibly the best full one that's available online, plus the 1996 and 2003 ones.

Neil's mainly focusing on his art and photography these days and i know he did a few exhibitions last year, he's a talented impressionist painter. If he did return to tv i would love him to do a more grown-up kind of art show, similar to the joy of painting.

This will mean nothing if you don't know who the anonymous British Grafffiti Artist Banksy is, but there is a persistent rumour/urban myth that he is actually Neil!

Have you reacted to Stay Tooned ! With Tony Robinson who played baldrick in blackadder ? Stay Tooned! is a British television programme which aired on BBC from March 1990 to 1997. The programme is presented by Tony Robinson, in which he discusses in detail and explains in depth cartoon characters, and the people and studios behind the cartoons, as well as looks over the history of cartoons.

This is like blue Peter if they only too,k out all the things they make and called the show " Here's One I Made Earlier " 😅 I don't think kids have the stamia too make things theses days. They say I'll just make it easy on my 3D machine 😅

They did bring it back when Disney bought the rights. It was a lot more dumbed down for pre schoolers and even changed the head to a palm tree called Vincent van coconut Obviously Neil wasn’t involved. He’s too busy with his music right now

The reason Neil stopped doing Art Attack was because he said that he ran out of ideas.

They did bring it back in 2011 might not of been credited then from 2012 to 2015 on Disney Junior well Art Attack was one of those shows I watched in Primary school in the 1990’s In Australia I may have watched it on the school they showed it on the Australian Broadcasting corporation (ABC) art attack was a fun show seeing what Neil would make there’s a British Art kids show from the 2000’s called Smarteenies should check that out 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
