Man!... Are you kidding me? 3-burner stove in the wild... deep-fried, pancake coated, sausage. Come on!!! Southern style, sausage tempura. Oh ya! I've been studying cooking for more than a decade and nobody ever taught me how to visually figure out the oil temperature. That's a great tip. You have truly inspired me to learn to weld too. You make some excellent multi-tasking equipment. Thanks!!!

realrasher LOL, Aint it neat? I usually have one big fire but I had three just to show some different things on video. Thats awesome that you learned about the oil temp from me. I was taught because no one ever carried a thermometer for the oil. Welding aint nothing but fun. Thanks for watching my friend.

Then that silicone tip is the bees knees! You’re just a wealth of information ain’t ya? Hahaha love your videos, so informative and I never get bored. Thank you so much, Dave, enjoy your Sunday😉👍👍

LOL, livin' large! Reminds me of the time I took a one-week "only use your brightest flashlight" challenge. One night, I just pulled my steak off the pan and the electricity went out. I ate my steak and drank wine with more light than usual, then I noticed the blinds were still wide open. No one across the street had even candle light going on (oops). I closed the blinds and proceeded to play PSP till the power came back. I'm outdone right here....

Thanks! Im glad you liked it. Most of these ideas started out just by so much cooking and improvising cook sets in the woods that it all slowly evolved into what it is today. The potstands work great because they hold the wood and the pot, and they keep the wood in a neat pile causing you to need very little wood. Thanks for watching my friend.

Yes but Im not too sure how much weight it will hold up in the fire. I know 1/8 dia welding rods sometime fail in the heat. I have always used 5/32 diameter rods and they have never failed. Thanks! I'm glad you and your son like the videos. As far as ticks go, most folks use spray but I personally have noticed that gloves, long sleeves and a hat or do rag or some kinda head covering works. If a tick lands on skin, it will stay and walk around till time to bite. If a tick lands on a cloth covering, 90% of the time it will just drop right off and never explore around . Thanks for watching my friend.

Reallybigmonkey1 yeah I know I've watched them all pretty much and several other channels as well lol. I've been out just in the day to some local woods in the day time just practicing setting up a camp etc quite a bit but where I am in the uk wild camping is not aloud, but I'm planning a couple of one nighters soon in prep for a 2-3 day camp (in Scotland) but for that I'll be travelling about 400 miles to get there.

Rob Hobson I read you can do wild camping in parts of Dartmoor (just watch out for the hound!) and I think there's some places in Derbyshire where its tolerated. There's some privately owned sites that cater to the wild camping crowd, I spotted a few on pitchup.com and some look worth the time (and nominal fee).

Yes, the bluberry pancake mix works well with this. Ive tried it twice and loved it. One time I got some pancake batter with peach bits in it. That was the best I ever had and I cant find it any more. Im glad you liked it, thanks for watching my friend.

What do you means "so much woods"? I didnt think I used much wood in pot stands. I only used sticks. I really didnt use much in the scoop stove and it was percolating. Sticks broken up from the ground can be used, that not alot of wood. The best way to make a fire smokeless is to use all fatwood unless you want to use a dakota pit.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it that much. Not many realize how easy it is to carry and cook with oil. We deep fry everything here in the south, lol. Thanks for watching my friend.

Been subbed to your channel for a while, decided just now to drop you a message. Thanks for the videos dude, you've taught me a lot about bush-craft and wilderness survival technique. We have our ways up here, but your techniques certainly supplement mine and my family's knowledge. Thanks again, keep it up! -All the way from Gatineau, Quebec, Canada P.S. I know where I'm headed if I plan on visiting the U.S. Looks amazing.

OmegaZero111 Thanks Bro, Im more than happy to post vids and show my weird ways. LOL. I know yall have different ways of handling extreme cold up there, it never gets too cold here. Greetings to you and your family all the way from Georgia down South.

This video is the best of all the bushcraft breakfast vids I have seen. I picked up several good tips: alcohol jar with sticks, bubble wrap & frozen water and wrapping meat in wax paper. The cooking stands are great too!

I love your videos, but you outdid yourself this time! The large scoop stove is pure genius, so simple, yet I had never thought of it. The sausage looked great, and something easily done on a campfire. Keep up the great work. You make this fun. I grew up camping here in Texas, and it's supposed to be fun! Thanks for reminding us of that.

Cool, Im glad I could help. I havent heard too many folks on here talk about frying on the trail so I thought it was a good time to. the key to frying is all about that magical 325 to 400 degree range. Those grease pots are great to cook in. Thanks for watching my friend.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. I love using them potstands. They are quite simple but they make good use of very little wood. I love making the videos where I get to eat at the end. LOL. Thanks for watching my friend.

***** I wish you was here too bro, that breakfast is unreal. Sausage and pancakes are good but when they are deep fried together, it changes the taste big time. And in a good way! Thanks for watching my friend.

Good to hear from you Sara! Trail frying can be a pain and a hassle if youre not set up for it but pretty easy once you have a system. If you try this at home, mix the pancake batter as thick as you can. Mine was way too thin but there wasnt much I do about it in the middle of filming. Thicker makes much tastier coating and of course there will be less water in it to react with the oil. Youll be amazed at the flavor. Good luck, have a great weekend and thanks for watching my friend.

Yet another great video! I'm enjoying each and everyone of these...Thanks for all you do! A couple of comments...would you review a couple of mfg's wood cook stoves and give us your opinion... I'm looking for a unit that will allow me to cook for 4 adults/2 children...because I don't have the facilities to make my own. I also would love you to list or demo common store bought food supplies that we can use to survive when our pwr runs out during a disaster... Again, Thanks for all you do and may God Bless you and yours!

Thanks, I'm happy you liked it and the others. As far as store bought wood stoves, my only experience is with an Ashley or a Fisher and they both seemed to work well. Most of my wood burners are homemade. I also have little experience long term storable foods, only Mountain house. Prepper channels are experts in that field . Thanks for watching

thanks Brother! Im glad you liked it that much. Yes, lots of things could have gone wrong. As far as I know, I mixed the pancake batter way way too thin and thats the only screw up. Its hard enough to film cooking but with three fires and watching three items cooking along with filming, this one was tough. I did have to think ahead on this one. Usually I just throw stuff in the pack but I had to write a list on this one. The pot stands are fantastic to cook on. Thanks for watching my friend.
