He’s not nearly as strong but he’s still a monster, go grasp for tank or HOB if you’re gonna go bruiser. Sunfire cape, titanic and deadman’s+ spirit visage and you’re unstoppable, and for bruiser start of with rage blade, titanic hydra, trinforce then any item you see fit. Sangwoo Shin Yea that was one of the things dota 2 used to have over league but also made it less fun for new players because they wouldn't know how to use them to help the team as much as they were able to hurt it with, but riot has started to run out of ideas for champion abilities, so they are finally learning that in a game based on teamwork, being able to do something to an ally can sometimes be an advantages especially in the pro scene, and are finally bringing things like the devour, kalista ult, and bard ult into the game :D

SUPERGREGGJR I believe that abilities such as Lucian's, MF's, and Vel'Koz's ults do not work inside of Tahm. If the ability is a channel that can be interrupted such as those, I'm pretty sure it prevents them from being devourered (from the Q&A). Rumble and Swain's abilities are not actually channels that can be interrupted, so they still work.

Gunrunking I suspect it's not "too big" (despite what Phreak says) as there are champions which are demonstrably bigger than both Red and Blue buff, Nautilus, Sion, and Cho'gath among them. However, I suspect it's more "too spicy", as both Red and Blue buff have those swirly magic things on their backs. Too damaging to his prodigious gulp to have a literal ball of magical energy in there. Dragon and Baron are totally too big to fit in there, though. Baron especially. Duifromwaiheke Notice, however, that he doesn't eat any champ (or monster, or minion) entirely. He licks a few things, he gulps a few things, but he always spits out the things he eats. (Except, of course, for Helmet Bro's helm in his joke, although that looks more like "hide the evidence!" than "mmm, tasty!")

Juble well no, thats what he meant: Its only a stun when the enemy has 3 Stacks. The old Sion q stunned always and wasnt even a skillshot. The 3 stack version is an easy way for riot to make sure he cant just lock you down without a chance to respond! And this champion has alot of deapth even with this "easy" way of making him not op.

@@3v3r7 Not really, because his W can easily be dodged and his E isn't as effective like before, his Q ranged is okay but it's pretty useless unless you get the 3 stacks and since Devour is now R for Ult he can't really pressure his Top opponent.

The most hilarious thing I've done with Tahm Kench up in top lane is get Stormraider's and boots of Swiftness. Chunk enemy, eat, speed away at mach five and they have NO idea how it happened. It is the most hilarious shit you'll ever see.

It does but first you have to be a little strong on AP for Q, or AD for basic attacks, cause you have to deal 30% of a champion's maximum health within 2.5 seconds. Plan is: -Get in a brush -Solo enemy comes nearby -When close enough: Basic, Q, Basic and devour the shit out of him -2 seconds later he realizes he is under your turret People underestimate this mastery soo bad

I haven't played League of Legends since path 4.21, but I've been keeping an eye on it. This is the kind of champion design that would make me come back to play again. This might be solely based on my preference, but Tahm Kench feels like a more solidly designed champion than those as of late. p.s. Hearing Phreak say "potentially hella far away!" makes my skin crawl.

Riot added a bug to Tahm Kench in 10.20. They added three bugs, actually, which they refuse to fix despite numerous messages and bug reports: 1. Tahm's E shield now only activates after the cast time, delaying it by 250 ms. This bug alone tends to kill me at least once per game. 2. Tahm's W doesn't apply its %max health damage to minions and monsters, making it easy to lose cannons, difficult to steal jungle camps, and makes playing Tahm Kench in the jungle impossible. 3. By pressing your keys in a certain way you can actually make Devour have infinite range. It's insane that they won't fix it even though this bug breaks the game. After Riot added these bugs, Tahm's win rate went down by 1.6%. All three are bugs, they were likely added when Riot was trying to fix a different bug that made his Q, W, and E not do anything. We talked with Riot about it on Twitter and they said it was unintentional. However, with Tahm's low play rate and his rework coming up, it's possible they won't bother fixing it until then. That being said, somebody said Tahm's minion/monster W bug is fixed on PBE, so hopefully a fix is coming soon. Bonus question: Why buy redemption for tahm kench? Answer: Tahm scales with health. Heal plus 10% AOE TRUE DAMAGE, 10% bonus heal+shield plus HP-CDR with only 2100 gold, the most BROKEN item that exist!

Tahm started an era of new great champs. Next 3 seasons was just amazing. Jhin, New GP, Sol, Taliyah, Bard, Ivern, New WW, Xayah and Rakan and so on. All so different but so FUN. All we get now overloaded hyper carries or boring lazy champs like Seraph

Cat the Turtle they couldve found a way, I'd imagine him having an extra passive that consumes a minion he last hits, doing so refilling some sort of Hunger stack, giving him bonuses as as long as it's maintained above 50;75;85 stacks.

Prince Rebollos His appetite is not consumption of people but consumption of misery. He eats things to cause sadness and lives off that - hence why his lore is based around being a demon and not a normal connoisseur.

Logic behind th devour being unable to eat red/blue: remember the picture of pantheon smiting red? Compare its size to the naut in the new dawn cinematic. Red buff was a lot bigger. Malphite too is large, however it says that his size was shrunken to fit on the rift. Therefore, everything is pretty much larger than it is in the game, red and blue are mammoths compared to the champions. But that's my theory.
