I live in Canada but I was born and raised in the Philippines. I have a very enchanting and magical memory of going to church with many people attending mass before morning, when it was still dark. After the mass there was a man who was selling taho. Me and my family bought some taho and it was absolutely delicious and perfect. The warm, holy lights of the church glowing, the moon shining on us while we ate taho from a transparent plastic cup. I will always thank God for the experience. Also, here in Canada, you can buy preprepared taho ingredients like the tofu, black sauce, and the pearls, but you have to put them together yourself. They taste quite nice, but it's not as great the taho in the streets of the Philippines, I'm convinced that the taho vendors have some kind of magic that makes their taho great.

i’m filipino but live in the U.S. but my dad always got taho when we would visit the philippines and tbh i was scared to try it, but watching all these videos of them making it are satisfying and makes me want to try it next time i go there.

Gosh I love my people and my culture so much. I was 9 when I came to the U.S and now I’m 24 and I can’t wait for the day I get to go back home and try some taho again, for now I can only dream😊

"Po" is one of the most used words, if not THE most, or maybe a close tie with "opo" which means yes in the formal, or "oo" for informal.

In the states, they call those sago.....tapioca, popular in california, I dont know about other states tho. Boy , the last time I was in the filipens was in '85, they only have the Brown syrup then,maybe I need to visit again.thank you for the vids.

Yes. However Sago is primarily from palm fruit stems, and Tapioca from cassava root. But the words can be used interchangeably in the Philippines and others too.
